Now's your chance to help us design the future expansion of this site... help us to determine what additional forums should be added as we grow and the site becomes busier.
The current forums outline will stay as it is for now... I don't want to add forums and have them sit empty - that gives a site a dead look that discourages posting.
But - one of our goals is for Animotions to become The place for comics, game design, character design, and hands on creation tips and tricks in addition to discussions of our favorite topics and series.
Let us know where you'd like to see us grow and add as we expand in the future.
The thread will be stickied for 120 days, and then possibly be replaced with a revised one after the votes are weighed and the changes are implemented.

PS: If there's a major clamor in this thread for one of the options from a number of members, we may add it before the poll runs its course.
PS2: Please give me a little bit before posting a reply - there's a second post coming that adds a bit of detail and explanation to the potential forum names. Thanks.
Edited: I didn't realise the poll function didn't do what I had in mind. I reworked the post slightly...

The Vendor's Suggestions and Character Wishlist I'm a bit dubious about, unless there's a lot of support for them. Seemed to me they got a lot of requests at the old Animotions, but very people people interested in tackling those requests.
That may have been just because there were so many different "Wishlist forums" scattered about and it was hard to find and keep track of who asked for what where... |

Your topic says "Poll", but there's no poll, so I am posting from the list the ones that to me i owuld love to see.
Animator's cell (Mabey add the possibility of talking/discussing normal film creation, as some of us do it for a living, and would be more than happy to shary our toughts and help)

Yeah, it does: I was going to use the "Poll" feature, and then while I was proofing it, Diane let me know that it wouldn't do what I wanted - let people check off different options and tally them like a survey. Phooey. ;]
I'll have to do this the hard way by keeping a spreadsheet of votes as they're posted.
Yeah... IIRC, Animation Forum got a number of requests at the old site, didn't it?

my votes go for:
The Anime Resource: definately, anime is as big as ever, so we should probably have this around here.
The Character Wishlist: seems clever, it'll make a lot of fanboys to drop by.
Modeling Tools: very useful, I mean, a lot of people will want to know how to create all the cool characters in the Galleries.
Computer Hardware and Technology: something for the most advanced users, I think it's useful as well.

Just one, tiny suggestion: how about adding one section for news and updates? So that the comic creators can post there that they've made an update or something. It can ba a 'stuck' subject in the Online Comics sub-section of the forum...
So that it's easy to find.
Plus WIP and Wishlist.

Ok, how about a forum specifically for asking people Where Items are? IE: Where's the Mike Remapped Body Suit required for a lot of Mike Superheros? LOL! It would be nice to have just 1 forum to check for these requests.  |

Just make sure yu are aware you have to have the real bodysuit from Daz3D to use the Remapped Bodysuit.
