Being a rabid Star Wars fan, and specially a big Jedi fan (I've been sporting the Padawan haircut since I saw Phantom Menace), I've been always interested in swordmanship, so I bought a book called:
"Shimmeting Sword: Samurai, Western and Star Wars Sword fighting" by Nick Jamilla.

It's not a manual on swordfighting, but a very extense exploration of many aspects of the Jedi and their relations with the Star Wars universe compared to our real life universe. Not only covers the Jedi fighting influences, but the origins of the codes, the reasons why there si a Jedi code, why the Jedi works for the Supreme Chancellor, etc... In a very interesting chapter called "Master, Padawan, Apprentice", through his own experiences as a martial artists, analizes the Jedi relationships between themselves.

A Very interesting reading, which I recomend to everyone who wants to write Jedi stories, be it for comics or fanfilms, or fanfics, or whatever.
