Yes, Batman is still Bruce Wayne.

For what I know, they will show his training oversees, before he returns to gotham to clean the city up. He meets Ras Al Ghul (Liam Neeson) during those travels, and he finds Wayne Enterprises run by a very corrupt business man (Rutger Hauer), who doesn't want him to assume control control of the company.

Actually I've read an early draft of the scriptm I'm keeping to myself all the juicy spoilers :)

For a good information about the movie, I would recomend www.batman-on-film.com, they even have a clear view of the new batsuit.

Finally a nice "darker" Batman movie that I actually want to see, I couldn't stand the last few with the neon clown looking thugs, after the first one I thought they all went down hill...Batman breaking a guys arm...that's what we need :twisted:

Just a correction: Neeson plays Henri Ducard, one of Bruce's mentor's during his training. Ken Watanabe plays Ras Al Ghul.

It's called "Batman Beings" because it's ignoring the previous 4 films and starting at the beinning of the story, with Thomas and Martha Wayne's murder and Bruce trainging for his career as Batman.

i liked tim burtons films, Like i think he did catwoman great but in my opinion he still didnt do the batman franchise complete justice. Perfect example the joker. Now he was good in the movie but what to me atleast has always made joker creepier and just more of a badass is he never really had a backstory. We dont know jokers past where he came from what he did we just know he is and why he is is anybodies guess. I wasnt happy that burton gave him a back story.

This new batman looks to be great though i cant wait.

If it's the same teaser I saw it looks like a decent treatment. I just wish they would have cone with a cloth outfit rather than a rubber one.

You CANNOT fight hand to hand in body armor. I've tried.

Me niether. I would have liked if they stayed with the backstory as it was told in The Killing Joke. Now that would be a nicew story to be done in a movie, to show how the right ciscunstances can drive us NUTS!
