Holy Constipation Batman, Justice League Unlimited is full of it.
WHo here has seen this continuation?
I sometimes enjoyed the original series JLA, having been a fan of the older Batman series. I never thought they did the characters justice though, or true to form.
Batman was fine as always.
Supes I just didnt buy. Too much of a boyscout, took it over the limit.
Hawkgirl, well, I just didnt like her.
Wonder Woman was too warrior like, when she was suppose to be on a mission of peace.
Flash was OK...Since its Wally, I enjoyed him.
Manhunter...OK...Cool...Collected...Emotionless...He was acceptable.
And John Stewart? No Way. Stewart was never the tough guy or warrior like. He took years to gain leadership skills.
But all in all I enjoyed it.
So imagine my surprise. I get home tonight from a wonderful date, turn on the TV to relax a bit, and see the new JLU on.
Cool, right?
WRONG!!!!!
This episode was about Cerci(sp?) casting a spell on Diana and turning her into a pig, a real pig, with curly tail and all, and it still wore the arm bands.
Batman and Zatana then have to confront Cerci(sp?) and make her reverse it. She finally agrees to, under one condition. She wants batman to give her something that he fought hard to conceal, and that once he reveals it, will never get it back.
His identity?
HELL NO!!!
Instead, she has bats stand center stage of an arena, and sing a song called "Am I blue", ala Sinatra.
Batman? Singing in public? And doing it well?
I DON'T THINK SO...NOT TODAY...NO WAY!!!
So all I can say, is that even though they are introducing some characters that I hoped to see...Kyle...Atom...many others...There is NO WAY I am wasting my PVR time on this crapy show.!!!!
Can you tell Im in an opiniated mood tonight?
And oh yeah...The movie "The Forgoten"?
Great flick...but definetly not what it appears to be.

Hmmmmmm? I remember Adam West singing a song called "Buttercup". I have a theory the existance of singing Batmen are a reality anomaly that happens about every 30 years.
Don't panic good citizens of fair Gotham! It's just a small flashback from the 60's. Enjoy the "trip" while it lasts..........Groovey and Out!

Actually, I've really enjoyed the JLU run so far. It's been entertaining to see different heroes, like Hawk and Dove, B'Wana Beast (now how's THAT for an obscure hero), hell, even Rocket Red has made an appearance. And the episode with Booster Gold was absolute genius. In fact, I think that the JLU episodes have been better written than the JLA and very enjoyable. The Circe/Wonder Pig episode that you mention was really entertaining, too. (Think about it--Batman has always acted with an eye toward the most expedient way to solve a problem. In this case, he recognized that he and Zatanna were out of their league against Circe, he wanted Diana back, so why not accede to Circe's wishes? In my mind, that did far more to advance the subplot of his romance with Diana than anything ever could. Speaking of which, I thought it was pretty ballsy of the writers to go with that plot idea. And talk about ballsy...How about Stewart and Hawkgirl? Has there EVER been an interracial cartoon couple?)
In my opinion, the primary thing you MUST do is assume nothing about the characters. While they remain the archetypes that they are in the comics, some of their personality elements have to be overdrawn (or underdrawn -- is that even a word?) to make them more understandable to the neophyte viewer. Thus, Stewart is a soldier; Diana is a warrior princess (and one of the more interesting characters, too); Supes is the epitome of the heroic ideal; Flash is the smartass; J'onn is the silent alien; Batman is dark (but not too dark).

I have liked it pretty well so far. I didn't think that particulr epiode was one of the strongest but it worked well enough for the comic angle that they can toss out now and then.
I have to say I liked the new series/season. I wished it still was an hour sometimes stories appear rushed but they have been alright. My two favorite eps this season has to be "World without Adults" and "For the Man Who Has Everything"
