With the discussion of a Selling Original Comic's Online here at Animotions and over at Renderotica, I figured this was the best place to post this. If one of the mods disagree they can feel free to move it where it will do the most good.
(Notice I haven't said WHERE I originally posted it. )
I've started searching for web sites that people can check out and learn WHAT they need to do.
Here's my first link.

There's been talk about Flash, and other Online comics. Remeber that this isn't just about you telling a story. It's also about creating a product. A product that MAY one day be and actual pulp and ink comic book. This is why it's important to work within the restrictions of TRADITIONAL Comic medium. |

Here's a nice one for 2D artists. Knowing all this stuff explains why certain things must be done a certain way.

| Nice little Glossery of Terms. I'm working on my own version of this for the site, but this should tide you over. It includes both animation and comic art terms. |

| Don't know if this belongs here or somewhere else, but here goes. There is also a need for resources other than just research. For those- like me- that are doing their comics primarily in 2d, and perfer to do the line work before scanning it into the computer, I recomend BlueLine Pro.com. They have the blank pages already cut to size and ready to use. Example- traditional format, on 2-py board, a 12 page pack is only 19 dollars before shipping last time I checked. They have everything anyone might need. |
