Is the idea behind this mostly keyed toward completed work (graphic novel, collected trades), or ongoing stories (single issues)?

As someone who was working not even a year ago for the Darker Age Press crew who were looking to put together a couple ongoing series(es) online, I've got a few scripts already put together for team superhero ongoings, and several ideas that have yet to see the light of day.

If the idea of marketing ongoing stories might be interesting to anyone, I'd be willing to talk to some of my team about optioning some of those scripts to artists, and although I'm not one of the best artists around, I could certainly offer help with model sheets, set design and the like. If the idea is more about 'self-contained' works, i.e., graphic novels and such, I could definitely look into writing. My tone tends to stay in the fantasy/superheroic, but I'm pretty open.

We can certainly do ongoing stories/single issues.

There's should certainly be room for all kinds of comics- in all forms. Some on-going issues make pretty good graphic novels when their gathered together.

Personally, I think ongoing stories are going to be the lifeblood of this venture.

It's what's going to keep people coming back to the site.

I'm going to make a habit of agreeing with Topan. Ongoing ideas if appropriate, but contained story arcs. That way if we run out of steam, or a creative team falls out or moves on, or a project fails, we won't have a site full of loose ends.
