Heya Gutvoc

Your problem is a fairly common.

POSER Programming:

~~~~~~~~~~
Poser 4 doesnt mingle with other' anythings
P4 CD models do not mingle with the hored help anywhere
Mikey/Vick/ V1s etc don't mingle with the hired help -
V2's are older than the V1s so they are better at pretending to mingle
*SpecificTO V3's*
V3's should and could play better, BUT: their Food chain position is determined by character package files :size/mat dimensions/extras needed to use them - morphs,skins,clothes, hair. etc always muddies the play ground rule - V3's are better
SO
V3 co mingling with the generics is not advised without serious considerations. [OS/ram/cpu/hdd space/graphics cards/suggested min OS 98se ]
-older OS vers can't handle installing/storing/loading/using them without suffering the effects of crippling uselessness;
~crashing pcs as faster & as often as 21st century red dresses stain in large white houses today!
V3's = slower processing - more volume files, more hdd space, more sys resources needed to use them etc
Groups of them : dont play with more if u cant pay them all
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

P4 vs P5 = closely related to family interactions.
Most commonly described as Sibling Rivalry
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Common Sibling perception:
The only important house rule is :
*Siblings know all*
*A sibling is your brother :
*All Brothers-come from same family-forget genes, chromo-zones etc
*Brothers are created by a higher life force - Cut from the same seed of the same cloth - you know all.
*Brothers are younger/older/inyourface/upyournose/rubberhose practicelumps for higher life forces placed within the family unit
*They are given Version #'s /names to:
(i) Ensure the purity of the higher life force foodchain hierachy;(ii)To seek out and destroy possible subspecies infiltration (non-brother/siblings) that could threaten the higher life force foodchain command levels in da house.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sibling responsibilty is to:
~Fight faster/harder/last longer than Mike Tyson!
~Always maintain Zen :Maim, Lame and Aim good!
~Never let Co-operation or Harmony - your sisters - win anything
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Families [/groups /multiple units] can experience compatibility conflicts when they interact together.
The basic need/hope/steps to keep some sanity & survive long periods of cabin fever is simple : families -min. or nil conflicts achieve Zen /Chi /smooth sailing . families +max* conflicts succumb to cabin fever and cease to exist.
Issues like these occur as a result the individual personas these people have. Each holding different expectations/needs - all trying to function as a Single entity model-rather than the collective :needs etc they squeeze into one box to function, instead of rather than lots of diff little bits sharing space/lots little needs allowed when playing nice.
family therapy: note:
success % is not guaranteed - no 100% foolptoof etc but probably could improve substantially *subject to the therapy levels your family (p4/p5/computer/etc) needs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your family unit=you/p4/p5/system
Your problem =P4 {brothers}P5 refuse to coperate resulting in whole family conflict
Your therapist presents observations/formulates & suggests possible options/alternatives/the family decides and
actions anything they might find appropriate etc .

It WILL result in more co-operation and regain the status quo of their 'family ties'.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
having said that:
History proves it can happen
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
P4 has been 'semi-trained' to behave for long periods
P4 trainers have used 'magic potions' to control their behaviours
P5 steps in to change the way we play
-more stressors than their predecessors os/dorkettes/OSwannabe/ancient 2":6"=NOW:moretime=morebucks4yerbangs
p4 = *.pz3: p5 =*.pzz
p4 allows searches/dif locations better
p5 allows same+multiple dirs/etc but refuses to swallow prehistoric stuff if it can help it eg. *.pz3 fodder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Possible steps to consider*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Write your own poser destiny Survival Guide
also known as
secret herbs n spices:
1. try updating the p5 program by ensuring it has the most current versions of 'patches/fixes' /service packs
2. same updates to: OS:SR packs; hdd updates:mainboard/chipset/bios/cd/dvd/graphic cards/driver updates/or rev/fixes
3. update p4 sameway servicepacks etc
4.Mimic by installing same models/texts/etc u have in p4:*.pz3 to p5
hint:
p4+ppp offers saving generric *.pz3 to p*.pzz
so
a: try renaming *pz3 to *.pzz
b: try using senosoft (p3do) to convert to compatible p5
c: try recreating p4:*.pz3 in p5
by:
(i) copy the p4 *.pz3 model paths/files structures ~
eg: runtime/*.*/models/texs/into your p5 installation ~including a copy of the pz3 in the p5 root location
(ii) copy as much or as close as poss the content of the*.pz3 Using as many p5 native files as possible ~
eg: p5 program nodes; textures, settings; lights etc etc etc
**Save your attempted cloning in p5:*.pzz **
Doing so will ensure this working file's integrity; compatibilty; and safeguard EDITING within p5
<iii>Try using 3Dexplore or p3do to convert your new p5 file~copy~ to some kind of alternative file format compatible via import setc in p4 .
FINAL STEP:
~DEEP BREATH
~BIG SWIG OF ALCHOHOLIC BEVERAGE - PREFERANCE OF CHOICE
~SHUT YOUR EYES TIGHT
~PRAY loud~
may the force be with you[/i]
