Over the years there have been quite a few ventures by people to put out an online comic. Some good, some bad, but most have come and gone after a few pages. Of the ones still out there (or at least with a good number of pages) which do you feel is worth reading or wish to see more of?
Now I myself haven't read an online comic for years, basically because if I like the first couple pages that's all there is, whoever was putting it together stopped doing it for their own personal reasons. But I thought about looking some up again, but rather than do all that myself I thought I would let all of you post your favorites and save me some work (insert evil laugh here). |

I really like Panda Express (http://www.pandaxpress.com/) It's odd and incredibly well drawn. It's not Poser -- it's hand-drawn and digitally coloured. _________________ Jim Harnock - ODS

Hey guys. Thought i'd chime in on this topic.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Inconsistency is what kills webcomics. Gabe and Tycho of penny-arcade fame have talked alot about that. There are cool webcomics out there. But many of them are inconsistent. And the ones that are daily or semiweekly, often aren't worth reading.
I follow www.penny-arcade.com and www.pvponline.com
And thats about it.

this a cool content site. They do animations. Very popular.
Thanks for posting about pandaxpress Jim.
We (the 2 of us) that do pandaxpress post 2 times per week.
And that is our goal. We just finished chapter 1. And today actually we started chapter 2.
Feel free to check it out, love it or hate thats cool with us. |

Hey, a question before i do anything. Can I pimp my webcomic in this forum?
I don't want to be a webwhore.
If its cool, I would liketo start a thread for pandaxpress. |

I don't have a problem with you talking about your work here -- you're see that a few other creators do the same thing.
I'm really enjoying yours, I must say. I goat bogged down with work over the past month or so and ended up missing the last few pages of chapter one. I managed to goat all caught up earlier this week though. _________________ Jim Harnock - ODS

Applegeeks is another good one, though it's not always sequential/story work -- it's sometimes one-pagers. Still really entertaining.

I'm a fan of "General Protection Fault" and "Kevin and Kell" and highly recommend both. Used to be a huge fan of Sluggy Freelance but lately it seems the creator has lost his edge a bit (though the first few years of archives are a GREAT read). Just recently read the Egyptian Triad and it's a fun read as well, though a little slow in coming out (though I should talk - my one attempt at online comicdom crashed when I overloaded my 3D program so he's doing way better than me). _________________ "Flash, quit heckling the supervillain!" - Green Lantern

Let's see... I agree with the consistency issue.
My favorites so far have always been Ken Seismore's Jack [sadly seems to be defunct now], Liberty [hasn't been updated in a long time], and in strips, Sabrina Online.
I tend to read *all* of them... other favorites are Hatcheck Kelley and Wierdass's Starry Ones... I just don't keep up with all of the rest as consistently as I did/do the first three.
Personally, I'd love to see Ken come back online, and I'd really like it if a new Liberty came up. [Hint! Hint! If anyone out there is reading this, Ken. ] _________________ "I'd add a legitimate comment here, but that would mean reading everything, which I have no patience for." - Slynky

| I'm a big fan of Butternut Squash myself. It's hand-drawn, the art is great and the strip itself is hilarious and offbeat. |

I've always loved VG Cats. It is very well drawn and very funny. It takes video game humor to a new high. Plus, talking cats that walk on two legs really does make you think you're high!
As for Poser webcomics, I'd have to go with the good ol' oldie...Liberty. I'm a sucker for superheroes. |

I found out about on-line comics, Poser, Bryce, etc. through Alan Brzozoski's Liberty: The American Girl. It was at http://www.powerheroes.com/, but I just checked the site, and all it has now is a notice to the effect that his site was hijacked. Apparently his site will be back, but not right away.
The only other on-line comic I follow regularly is Greg Deans' Real Life, at http://www.reallifecomics.com. It's pretty good, and occasionally wanders off into the vastly silly but amusing, particularly when his buddy Tony starts doing things; e.g., building mecha, starships, time machines and taking over the world until he got bored with it.
My own comic effort is stalled at the moment; I'm suffering from creative block and lack of sufficient computing power for rendering. Ah well; such is life. _________________ "Take sides!
