Hello again all

Today the Muskateer Graphics© website will undergo another transformation.
The look will remain the same pretty much. I have made some serious modifications behind the scenes to try and battle the bandwidth.

In just the one week since I changed servers, I have crossed the 5Gig bandwidth level. Although I do have unlimited, the bandwidth affects other companies hosting on that server as well, and I dont want to upset the new neighboors.
But I also dont want to remove all my free files unless its a last resort.

So for now, the freebies remain, as does the Tutorials section. All movies have been removed, and high bandwidth items, such as flash buttons, high quality thumbnails in the freebies and the gallery section have been heavilly reduced from 200 x 200 pixles to 75 x 75 pixels, with much lesser quality.

In one week I have had 9000 hits, with over 3000 downloads of files alone, which is the reason I implemented the Paypal donation system. Again, not mandatory, but if you enjoy my free files, please, feel free to help us keep the freebies alive by making a modest donation.

Hopefully the new changes will reduce bandwidth.
And anyone who finds a site leaching off my free files (Thus using my bandwidth) other than Animotions and Renderosity, please feel free to contact me directly. There will be a reward =). I have already found and terminated three sites.

avtually.. the lack of flash might make things easier for me 8 )

Glad to hear that minimizing the flash content, taking a step back, helps someone out =). So far its been much better on bandwidth too.

Another thing that may help is instead of just having #1-5 at the bottom of the download page break it down a little more...

DC1, DC2...
Marvel1, Marvel2...
Props1, Props2...
So on.

I know when I went to get the Batman Utility Belt I scrolled through all the pages until I found it. I am not sure if it would help much but every little bit helps. You can probably reduce the filesize without reducing the size of the thumbnails although the new ones aren't that bad especially since I know where to come to see the full size render.

Oh yeah if I were you I wouldn't change too much until the beginnning of your next month. Otherwise you visitors CPU will have to download everything again which will cost twice the bandwith.
