So, I just downloaded a City of Villains demo and I am trying to figure out how to train to level up since I have gotten a few levels but I haven't found a Arachnoid (or whatever it is) trainer to get the stuff. Anyone know? Thanks in advance. I really want to try it out and I just have seven days to do so.

once you get the "up arrow" in your stats bar at the top of the screen, then you can go to your trainer to level up, get new powers etc.
if you find/buy enhancements to increase your current powers, if you (i think, haven't played for a few weeks) double click on that enhancement it'll take you into your power pool area where you can drag and drop to add them to your powers....
