I don't know if this is the right place to post this, or how many of you have already heard this sad news, but on November 26th Dave Cockrum, comic book artist and creator of the X-Men character Nightcrawler, and co-creator of a number of other X-Men characters (including Storm, Colossus and many of the "Second Generation" X-Men), died in his sleep.

Ja, I knew about this. Sad. Waaaaay back in the day, the first comic I really collected was the run he and Claremont had with X-Men, in large part because of his clean, wonderful art.
