before you make a decision, read the article I link to below.

In short, buy windows vista, if you do NOT play video games, or watch dvds, or play cds on your computer.
if you do, then stay as far away from vista as possible.

The following article link was posted on an IT pro website, the content is solely the work of the person that owns the site it is hosted at.

Not a chance.

My siggy over at Digg is...

Better to rule in hell, than serve in Vista.

I recently got a PepperPad3 which runs on a Fedora4 Core, and I'm evaluating distros in VMware for what is best for me and my older hardware.

My next NEW computer is going to be a Mac Pro so I can run the Adobe suite. I'm hoping Luxology Modo come through with some Linux goodness. It's been rumored for a while.

Daz Studio is sadly still not Linux friendly. I know some people have it running under Wine, but that's not what I consider Linux "friendly".

It's kind of sad that I'm left with no choice, but I refuse to give a dime to M$.

Vista is nothing more than XP with a fake OS X interface on top of a huge steaming pile of DRM. No thanks.

If that's the future of computing, I quit the hobby.
