Since I'm still without a "graphic" computer, I'm stuck modeling on an old Celeron 1.1Ghz, with 256MB ram, and some crappy built in graphics.
That means I can't work on Reslo since I need to have M3 fully loaded with morphs in a Background layer at the same time, and creating the morphs is more like playing golf. Hit a vertex, wait to see where it lands, change tool, hit it again.
Not fun.
So I decided to something more fun. |

Wow, that's awesome! Old-school Ironman ftw.
Is this for M3?

I have him using M3 rigging at the moment, but I think I'm going to release him with Zman Rigging because he's being designed as a stand alone figure.
Zman is compleatly open source so I won't have any problems with redistributing his rigging.
And the mesh is 100% mine.
If I can work out the permissions I'll also do an M3 and Apollo version. |

Most recent update. Still working on the gloves, and I need to UVmap him.
He's currently 7833 Polygons with both arms.
So the question is... would you prefer a built in Tony Stark face, or just poping whatever head you want on as prop? |

Just one "n" in Zman
http://www.sharecg.com/v/2187/3d-model/ZMan-for-Poser
Zman is a Poser rigged version of a model released to Open Source by Zygote a little over a year ago.
The entire figure is Open Source including the rigging, so I can can just modify that CR2 and release my Ironman in that form without issue. If I relase him as a stand alone M3 figure, I have to ask DAZ permission, and might have to RTE encode him to M3 even though the Geometry is compleatly original.
There is also a Zwoman and Zgirl.

The DAZ "3" family is about to go the way of Dork and Possette with V4 leading the way.
I really like the idea of Open Source models anyway. So I think supporting these figures will be cool. |

Almost there. Got about half the UV mapping done... and some morphs.
Oh and the best news... he's only 9100 Polys at the moment. |

It hasn't been released yet. I had a Power Supply catch fire WHILE I was working on it. So... another week of pure downtime.
The good news is that its all safe and saved. The UV maps are now about 90% done, AND....the MORPH are coming along nicely.
That's right. He said Morphs!
You are going to have about 20 years of classic IronMan in a single figure.
This is going to be a really nice stand alone figure and a sample of what I can really do. |
