What the @#$% a new Captain Wanna be America

Ok so I have to rant about this, a captain impersonator will be back in CA #34 in a new costume packing heat. And on the Marvels site states "Steve Rogers, the Sentinel of Liberty, was cut down in a hail of gunfire in March's CAPTAIN AMERICA #25. And whether or not you agree with the decision, he's still dead. But a character as iconic and important as Cap can never truly die." Hello if Steve Rogers is dead then Cap is dead. But instead of manning up and saying they totally screwed up and fixing this they decide it is best to keep screwing up. I know why would an adult get upset about a fictional character. The answer is simple even though Cap was some what dated his ideals and morals stayed true and he actually stood for something other than the popular views of the time.
This is why he has been around since 1941, sure there have been many imposters along the way but one thing stays the same it always ends with Steve Rogers as Captain America,
and when it was a pretender you knew it and it would come to an end.
Now Marvel with all their intelligence has decided that the Cap that stood for the oppressed and poor needs to be remade into a gun totting thugabee.
I have always heard "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and "if it works with out it, it never needed it".
Anyone who has read or collected comics knows that marvels has a track record for totally @#$%^&* up their universe and never fixing it. I was down to only buying one title of marvels and that was Captain America, now it looks like I get to save a few bucks a month since that title has now been screwed up beyond recognition.

You are aware that this is not the first time that someone other than Steve Rogers stepped into the star-spangled boots right? If Im not mistaken, this will be like the 5th or 6th person to dawn Cap's mantle.
They replaced Peter Parket, and went back to him. They replaced Toney Stark, and went back to him. They replaced Thor, and killed him off, and still went back to him.
Cap has been replaced so many times, few are even going to notice unless they are die-hard fans. Look at the Hulk - Green Goliath Hulk, Smart Green Hulk, stupid grey hulk, Smart small hulk, stupid big green hulk, War hulk with semi intelligence. Marvel, unlike DC, always goes back to the tried and true.
Give the new dude a chance. The gun concept isn't new, since Cap started out packing and using a gun - The shield as the only weapon didnt come until many years later in the comic world.

Now the new costume idea I think is brilliant. Very similar in design to The Patriot, yet carrying The Captain America moniker. That alone leaves to question when Cap will return, and how. A clone? Maybe it wasn't really Rogers who died?

Steve is an Icon in comics, just as Superman is - And Marvel would never ditch him completely unles they went backrupt and had to sell out the business, and wanted to screw the buyers over lol.

Keep buying the comic 0 Ill bet you dollars to donuts you will enjoy it after a couple of issues.

there was 7 i believe i might have missed one. That is my point it is not just Captain America that is the icon but Steve also.
They always go back to Steve so why not just save all the hassle and come up with the lame coverstory that has more holes and gaps then the original story had and be done with it.
That or keep Steve and Cap dead.
The gun is a issue on certain levels. The main thing is the man in the uniform and the uniform. sorry but i have not seen black on the American flag which is the whole bases behind the uniform. I know that is closed minded since it could be a medaphor for the times and comics have always reflected the times, but right or wrong I stand with my country because at the end of the day it is still my country.

The main point is to let them be dead and stay dead or let them live and be alive. All a pretender will do is hurt the legacy/legend.
