Oh man that looks fantastic! I hope you will let me use it! This is one of the best models I have had the pleasure of playing with! THANKS

Suggestion as I am sure you already have too many.

1. More googahs (bevels, bolts whatevers) on the legs and arms.

2. Inner armor joints on the legs and arms (like the feet and hands)

3. I was going to make a suggestion on the head but the one you are working on is perfect!

I'm going to work a few different version, but Amazing Armor is really only trying to be a tribute to the classic comic versions.

No problem was not sure where you wanted to go with this lol. You have done a better job then I could do. I made some modifications myself (with photoshop) which did what I have wanted to do. I should be done sometime tonight!

I suppose it's too late to join in the testing? I was thinking with an over aluminum or silvery hue and the addition of piping forming a set of "headphones", this would make a great "alternative" Cyberman design. If what I once read is true, the person who designed the Cybermen for the "new" Doctor Who series worked upon Marvel's "Iron Man" comic for a while.

I think that using a displacement map for detail is a great idea.

Have you tried to blur your displacement map before applying it to your model ? you should have smoother edges after bluring. Personnaly I use gaussian blur with 10-40 px radius depending on the map size.

I tried it on and off. I'm using Inkscape for the textures, so everything is vector. When i have a layout that works, I'll play with blending.
