Boy are YOU in trouble.
Poser is very cool if you what you want is already available for it, but creating a figure for Poser is never easier than creating it for the package your in.
Some tips I can give you, learn to use selection sets.
To start of... hit the "w" key to open the Statistics windows. It will change between Point, Edge, and Polygon Statistics. This window should be open 24/7. Since it was put in LW6 I have never closed it.
When you're working with polygons, close to the bottom of the statistics window you'll see a line that says "Part: (none)".
That will quickly become you're best friend.
Next, go to |View| at the top of the screen.
Toward the bottom of the tools menu, you see "Selection Sets". The tools under there will be the other half of your arsenal to create a Poser figure.
These tools are what you'll need to break up any figure you make into parts that poser looks for to create joints and bends. Use them to define the Head, Neck, Torso, abdomen, hip, and then Left and right versions of all the arm and leg parts.
Think of a really well articulated action figure with ball joints, that has a rubber bendy molded over it.
