This is probably wrong of me to say, and maybe it's just my view, but i think out of all the forums here, 3d Comics has the best sense of community.
We look out after each other, we critic each other's stuff. I think from now on, when I need an honest critique from my peers, my work is coming here, and not the galleries. Thank you all for making this place so much fun for me! |

Honest critique? Okay, man. You're a lazy shiftabout that leaves me with the lion's share of the writing work and wouldn't know an alarm clock if it crawled up your arse and started buzzing the tune to the 1812 Overture, and....
Oh, crap. You meant on your artwork! Oh, okay, I can do honesty on that, too. *^_^*
And actually, let me say right up front that I agree 100% on the community here. I'm still planning on posting to the gallery, but I do plan on throwing some of my WIPs here, since here seems to generate the most response.
And I blame that lazy shiftabout thing on the spiked eggnog. It's New Year's Eve, after all. _________________ "It is perfectly easy to be original by violating the laws of decency and the canons of good taste."

Coolness, thanks for the kind words. ;]
Hrmmm... but I thought we were pretty communal over in gaming also. All three of us. ;] _________________ "I'd add a legitimate comment here, but that would mean reading everything, which I have no patience for." - Slynky

Scary, scary. There are actually real people around here? I always thought that the five-digit number I saw next to the registered members was just some random number fueled by a javascript routine or something!
Just kidding. It is somewhat sad that we have so many registered members and such few actual posters, but the tradeoff is that we do have some very good posters here in this section. Pat on the back time, y'all. You 3D Comics-goers deserve it. _________________ "It is perfectly easy to be original by violating the laws of decency and the canons of good taste."

Well, join the crowd. I still honestly don't think I've ever posted to R'otica, and my posts to R'osity are still in the single-digits.
But here was always different. Even when the 3D-CC had its forum-board, I posted there. (Now, I can't say I've always posted graphics and pics. I've just recently started getting to the point I think my stuff is dece enough to post.) I liked the people I met in the 3D-CC and here at Animo, and found a lot more people interested in the kind of artwork I was. That made it a lot more natural. _________________ "It is perfectly easy to be original by violating the laws of decency and the canons of good taste."

Well, some of the people at renderosity I found to be full of people who go "I use Lightwave, and you poser so you suck" ..and that type of attitude can burn me. I haven't experienced that here, but then again, we are amongs another set of outcast (how much longer, who knows if NYT is reviewing graphic novels)..web-comics. So with that, I think we don't care what you use, it is how you use it, and your heart in your work that matters the most. _________________ Dana Haywood
