I've been enjoying looking at the pictures you guys have been post of your characters and thought I'd post some of mine.
I'm waiting on a friend of mine to write me a script for my old 2D comic, Pizzazz and Frog-Boy, which I'll now try to do in 3D. While I'm waiting I made some 3D version of some of the old characters. I'm not sure if they will be in the script, but they were fun to make.
This first pic is of the villains Devil Dame, Lord Rot, and UG.

This pic is of Uncle Waldo, the guy that supplies my heroes with all their hi-tech gizmos.

| Your villians came out nice, you uncle character has some issues around the belly area. I am sure you will fix these so no worry. good luck on your book and I look forward reading. Care to divulge any info on what it is going to be about or how much longer before you are ready. |

Pretty cool.
You got a good feel for faces which in my book is about 45% of the battle. I like the wardrobing too. Some great choices with Uncle (he of the gut issues). Rot seem to be in atube rather than a robe but that image is kinda dark.
UG is all sweetness and light. You gotta try and do something with him. |

| First of all, welcome to the 3D comic Forum and thank you for sharing your pictures with us sam. I like Devil Dame and Lord Rot, but I do agree with frost and jje about the good Uncle. He does have a belly problem. But JJE was also right by saying how well you did on the faces. Nice stuff, and I, and I'm sure the rest of us, hope you hang around here for quite sometime. 8) |

Thanks for the comments. I didn't do any post work to the Uncle Waldo pic (except for adding the 2D part). If I had, the belly would have been my first stop. This was just a quick render to test the bump map I made for what will be the walls of Waldo's lab.
I'm still waiting on a script, but I asked the writer to keep it short, 10-12 pages. Being my frist try at a 3D comic, I didn't want to anything too massive yet.

I can understand that about the script, man. There are times I wish I wasn't so script intensive... ^_^
Great looking characters, though! I love the 'rotted face' look... is that all morphs or bump maps or both? _________________ "It is perfectly easy to be original by violating the laws of decency and the canons of good taste."

Well, in my humble opinion, the 3d versions look more.. evil and menacing then the drawn. I dunno, I look at the big "incredible hulk" type guy in drawing, and went "Huh?" then at the 3d version, and went "I don't want to mess with that guy." _________________ Dana Haywood

| The "rot" face is a morph I did in ZBrush, with a P5 rust material from RDNA Ug's face is also a ZB morph. If you haven't looked, I put a link to some other face morphs in the Sci-Fi free stuff. |

Here's a no postwork render of my heroes, Pizzazz and Frog-Boy. I've changed them a bit bit since the pic I did for the cover contest.
