As you can see, the new site software is up and running. A great big thanks to Ironbear and Diane and all the others who made it possible.
I hope everyone enjoys the new features of the site. So who's going to be the first person to submit something to the gallery?
BillyBob, just happy to be here. |

Hey, BillyBob. You beat me to the welcome speech. Been too busy setting things up.
And a BIG thank you goes to SysAdmin, without whom none of this would have happened. |

:waves: Hi Sacred!
Well, they aren't permanently gone, but if there's a post you really, really want, you'd better tell us, because we weren't planning on importing all past posts.
We're completely reorganizing how the forums will be set up, so we just figured start over. It's what we did at Rotica and nobody bitched (too much).
Oh, and we *are* live. |

| Might want to save the main posts in the old Tutorial folder, since I don't see a Tutorial section here yet. |

Can I second the tute salvation and if possible ask for some of the important link posts in my forums, after the great crash... these resource lists [most rare and untapped] are lost ~ recorded in our forums only..
examples:
links to how to create specific game tutorials [ step-by-step gems from the industrie's best]; free developing game engines; industry [NO-hooha-cut-to-the-chase] links to direct 'avoid this' etc
new info is easily tapped into, but triedNtrue stuff thats 'Get-it-Here~'NewsFlash~Special-Only found @ Aninmotions-' losses hurt deep ya know? *sob, sniff, sob*
if we can save anything like that [early posts or 'resource/links/list' as part of the subject header , would make the rosey cheeks glow most brightly, thanks muchly |

Well KrS,
Fancy meeting you here in a place like this. Now dear boy, don't breathe in too much of that fresh paint. You want to have SOME brain cells left. _________________ I am a romantic, a seeker of beauty.

I don't have any brain cells- I prefer to let it go about Free Range!!
Regards,
KrS (Ah yes! A few more woeful gags like this and I'll lose the 'Forum Newbie' tag!!) |

Ah Yes! I'm sure one such as yourself could come up with some short ribald tome concerning the aformentioned "Forum Newbie" tag that wouldn't have the "Boss" casting the "Ultimate Nullifier" our way. _________________ I am a romantic, a seeker of beauty.

Hey! I told you not to mention my Ripe Old Tom (and how dare you say it's short!!). No, I shall be decorous in my prose over here (I've even put on a shirt and tie and combed my hair just to post this!!).
Actually, I'm glad I finally ventured here- looking through the galleries and stuff, I came to the realisation that all the time I've been using Poser, I've never tried doing Judge Dredd or any other of the 2000ad chars (even though I always thought the CGI and Poser work on 'Durham Red' by Mark Harrison was amazing).
http://www.2000adonline.com/ is worth a look.
Regards,
KrS |

If you think that is amazing you should look at the 'Lone Sloane' sagas by french artist Philipe Druillet. It will blow away any existing brain cells that happened to be hiding out in the deep recesses of that alleged cavernous skull of yours. His work is truly visionary. _________________ I am a romantic, a seeker of beauty.

Geeez, Don't visit the site for a few weeks and everything gets changed on you.
Gonna take a while to get used to the new site, but so far everything looks good. Is there any chance that the store software will be getting an upgrade as well to allow for instant downloads of the items you purchased?
Gratz though on going to PHP for the forums, it is a tres' cool set up. |

Yes, the store is being upgraded.
The policy will be that if you have good in-store credit, you will be allowed instant downloads. The present manual-approval system was only set up after a chargeback-fest that proved very, very costly. We think the in-store credit policy will allow the freedoms the good guys deserve while allowing us to catch the bad guys before they can do much, if any, harm.
To be starkly clear, the credit system will have nothing at all to do with any credit rating anywhere else, just how you treat us here. |
