I apologize in advance if this seems just too newbie-like...
I'm working on a masked character, and I've found that sometimes, when I alter the character's expression, parts of the face protrude up through the mask.
I created the mask by using the Group editor to select those facets of the figure's head that I wanted to make the mask, then spawned it as a prop.
What I need is some way to make the mask conform to the movements of the parts of the head; i.e., when I increae the 'Smile' dial, making the cheeks rise, that part of the mask needs to rise correspondingly.

You would need to make the mask have the same morphs and phonemes as the head (and all named the same) and make it a conforming figure.
Well, since I made the mask from the figure's head, it should be possible to use the same morphs as the head does. So the question then becomes, how does one export a morph? I've tried looking around in the menus and nothing obvious leapt out...

Dont get too complicated on yurself just yet.
If you have made a mask like a Zorro style mask, identical in the face shape as the characters, then instead of spawning it as a prop, assign a material to it only, in the character. That way it can use the figures texture when you want to hide the mask, and any other texture when you want to show it. This way you illiminate having to learn about using morphs on the item, and conforming it. I will always work with the characters movements properly. _________________ =============================

Didnt mean to step on your toes, Lord Admin lol.
I remember my meager beginnings. Learning the tool, rendering, postwork, it was a lot at once. The simple and straight and easy ones were the best for me, so I try to give them out as well =)
Seriously, no offense taken at all. Your way is simpler, although if you are looking for the mask to have some "substance", making it a conformer would be the way to go. Not sure if it would be worth the effort though.
