I don't think there's anything wrong with your FTP program. The problem is probably related to limitations that Lycos may have on your site. Many service providers put limits on the size of file that can be uploaded or downloaded. Some free site providers will not allow .zip or .mpg file types to be uploaded at all. Carefully read the "TOS" or Terms of Service for Lycos or whatever service you are using.
