The Last Super (another 4-page comic script)

This week's assignment was called... erm.. "Torture Chamber". We had to write a 4-page script in any genre about a character whom we put through hell, under increasing pressure, until he can't take it any more. Lol, this was FUN to write. I can't draw, though, so if you're an artist and you'd like to draw this, just contact me.

THE LAST SUPER.

PAGE 1.
4 PANELS. 3 THIN ONES ON TOP, AND A LARGE ONE FOR THE REST HALF-PAGE THAT ALSO SPREADS BENEATH THE OTHER PANELS AND POURS OUT OF THE PAGE.

PANEL 1.
Deep, classical halls in point perspective. There are very tall columns and paintings hanging from the walls, portraits of well-known superheros and paintings of their major feats. THE ACE OF DIAMONDS, a customed superhero, is walking towards the camera, flirting and chatting with VENUSIAN, an alien yellow metallic-looking female creature of Venus, and with LILETTE, a gothic vampiric sexy woman.
CAPTION: Once, it was all so clear.

PANEL 2.
A head and shoulders view of both as they exit the building. On the outside, it looks like a Court House. The three of them smile a white artificial smile like in a toothpaste ad.

CAPTION: We belonged to something.

PANEL 3.
Same angle, only they have walked a few steps down. LILETTE'S head, closest to our view, is deeply jerked back as a stone bounces off her head. ACE and VENUSIAN look suprised.

PANEL 4 (LARGE):
Aerial view of the vast crowd camping a the hall's door. They are all standing, waving their fists, yelling and holding billboards with black and white portraits of young boys and girls with dates that show none of them died before they were seventeen. At the back of the crowd, we see two bobcats.

ACE and VENUSIAN are aiding LILETTE.

TITLE: THE LAST SUPER.

PAGE 2.
6 PANELS.

PANEL 1.
A shower of stones falls on the three superheros as they cover their faces. The three of them are bleeding. LILETTE is being helped on her feet.

OFF PANEL YELL: KILL THEM ALL!
ACE: Fall back! Into the Hall! INTO the HALL!

PANEL 2.
We see from inside the hall through the churchlike doors how the three heros make a run for safety as the stones fly and the mob closes into them.

PANEL 3.
Same angle, the doors are closed. The three of them rest their back against the door. VENUSIAN is sitting on the floor. LILETTE touches a wound on her head. It hurts her.

LILETTE: How... could mere stones... do this?
ACE: Something is very wrong.
LILETTE: Why didn't you teleport us out of trouble, Ace?

PANEL 4.
Close shot of ACE, worried. Behind him, the door is being pushed and we see a crack of light coming from outside.

ACE: I was on that. It... didn't work.

PANEL 5:
Aerial view of the complete hall. At the far background, there are simmetrical marble stairs that meet above at the same point. A door marked LAB is the only door in the upper floor.

ACE: We better run to the lab. We'll have a better chance there.
LILETTE: Whatever is happening, it must be happening all over the world.
ACE: Are you both ready?

PANEL 6:
From floor level, we see the three of them springing to a desperate sprint towards the inner halls. The doors crack open, as one of the bobcats enters surrounded by the mob pouring in. Some of them have shotguns.

PAGE 3:
6 PANELS.

PANEL 1:
From the top of the stairs, VENUSIAN is almost reaching the camera. Her mouth and eyes are wide open. Blue liquid jumps forth from her abdomen as she gets shot in the back. In the foreground, we see the broken doors, the pouring mob, and three men on the sides firing their shotguns. Pieces of marble are exploding around the heros.

PANEL 2:
VENUSIAN falls down the stairs, sliding towards the mob, which has already got to the first steps. LILETTE reaches towards her but ACE grabs her by the wrist, stopping her.

ACE: There's no time.

PANEL 3:
ACE and LILETTE against the lab's closed doors. LILETTE is crouched on the floor, crying. ACE is screaming out his anger, his face showing every vein and muscle, his arms stretched and fists closed.

VENUSIAN (from behind the doors): NO!! PLEASE DON'T!!! NOOOOO!!!!

TV (off panel, electric balloon): All over the world, the same picture.
TV: Powerless superheroes. Time for revenge. The list of dead superheros is astounding.

PANEL 4.
Over the shoulder shot of ACE as he walks towards the TV, which comes into view. A commentator is reading the news. A small panel shows footage of a wrecked city. Three superheroes fly through, wrecking havoc.

TV: In some countries, even the armed forces are retaliating against superheros.
TV: Presumably, last week's total destruction of Hunnoi City in Central Asia triggered this worldwide response--
ACE: That's us. We were helping--

PANEL 5:
The lab doors are being pushed. A hand is able to come through, holding VENUSIAN's head by its hair.

LILETTE: They're coming through!
TV: --seeking revenge for years and years of helplessness against superpowers--
ACE: Run!
TV: --and it doesn't look It will stop until the last of them is dead.

PANEL 6:
Same angle. The metal door yields and falls over LILETTE, crushing her to death as she reaches out with her arms. The crowd is already pouring in. ACE has vanished.

TV: Whatever the reason for the powers vanishing, it sounds like the best example of POETIC JUSTICE, don't you think, Greg?
TV GREG: Certainly, Brooke.

PAGE 4:
5 PANELS, THE 5TH USING THE BOTTOM THIRD OF THE PAGE.

PANEL 1:
ACE crouching, making himself very little in a cramped nondescript hiding place. It's very dark. Only a crack of light pours in, a rectangular shape that shows us his eyes. He is looking outside.

CAPTION: Whoever granted us powers... has taken them back.
TV: --for once, the authorities are with the people--*CRASH*
VOICE: RIP HER TO PIECES!!
ACE (whisper): No...

PANEL 2.
Same image, closing in. ACE grabs his hair in despair.

CAPTION: So they're all dead. Or as good as dead.
VOICE: SEARCH!!
SFX: RIP. RIP. SLASH.
CAPTION (BOTTOM): It's all over.

PANEL 3:
Same image, only closer (head and shoulders). ACE rips a handful of hair from his scalp and looks at it.

CAPTION: This MUST be a nightmare.
VOICE: TEAR EVERYTHING DOWN!!
SFX: CRUNCH.

PANEL 4:
Extreme CU of his eyes and the rectangle of light. Blood trickes over one of his eyes.

CAPTION: There is only one way to find out.
CAPTION (BOTTOM): Isn't there?

PANEL 5:
The lab is already a wreck. From above the enraged mob, we see a small cabinet as it breaks open: ACE's hiding place. ACE is jumping like a maddened tiger against the crowd. His face is twisted, fearsome, as he jumps to a hand-to-hand battle he can't possibly win this time.
