I'm not picking on anyone, or singling anyone out. That said, a couple of contest entries are in violation of the rules... some didn't read them very well.
Oh and a different item.. our contest our rules...we decide what villiany is and we have posted what that is, and discussed it.
If it doesn't fit the rules..... the axe falls. What's the point of the challenge if people are just going throw anything up there and say I call this a villian, or I think he/she is a villian.
Oh and as to Catwoman, after 40 some years she has her own book, and bad movie. Her track record says Villian, so that one is ok.

Nah, I think you hit the nail on the head.
I can understand where some characters (like Punisher) might be in a gray area (is he good? is he bad?). And as I said before, if you aren't sure if a character is okay to use within the rules of the contest, then don't use it. With all the fiction (sci fi, comics, literature), surely you can find a fictional villain that's worth doing.
Ok, now I am a little nervous is Deathstroke a villian or vigilante. Granted he kills, but his main purpose for fighting the Teen Titans is that he don't think kids should be heroes.
Ok, now I am a little nervous is Deathstroke a villian or vigilante. Granted he kills, but his main purpose for fighting the Teen Titans is that he don't think kids should be heroes.
He is a Merc, pure and simple. He fought the Teen Titans in the first place to fulfill an assigment to kill them that his older son couldn't complete. After that, his other son, Jericho, etnered the Titans, and Deathstroke was forced to kill him when Jericho became possesed by a demon. In the new series, Deathstroke shot Impulse in the knee, but it was revealed that it wasn't DEathstroke but Jericho, whose power to dominate and control people had allowed him to remain hidden inside his father head for this long.
As for his goodness of badness, let's says he is honorable. When the corrupt police of Bludhaven contracted him to kill Nightwing's partner, AMy Roschbar, Nightwing payed him US$ 1,50 more than he was being paid to kill her and he let her alone. So I say, he is not quite a villain, he is a pro. In some aspescts I think he resembles the Punisher in his ways, but differs in motivation. While Punisher is in it for revenge, he is in it for the money. So he is not enterly good either.
It's a character that's not clearly definable. I was going to do him for the contest, but based on the advise given to me by the Animotions Staff (advise that I asked for, so no hard feelings here), I moved on to another character that's more easly definable as a villain.
May the powers that be correct if I'm wrong, but I think he is within the boundaries of what makes a "Bad Guy", so it's admisable for the contest. _________________ Improve your IQ! Read a B&W comic today!
Frost take your pic down if you like that is up to you, DC has never considered a him a hero, and he genreally ends up against the team he debut in, Titan. He's a little bit more than a merc, he's a hired assassin. He is even a villian in the current titans book.
Lady Shiva is an assasin and would be considered a villian. I can't think of any others off the top of my head..... wait the Taskmaster in Marvel (remember him) he was the marvel 80's version of Deathstroke.
I think people have a problem here... they are trying to interpret for themselves what is what is a villian. To me the only one that has been iffy to me was catwoman, and I allow her as a villian. She has been a villian for 40 or more years... then in the 90's she sort of drifts across the line permanently.
Ask yourselves what does the owner of the character consider their propety. Or if you feel confused, pick a less abiguous character.
I'm just trying to help ease your pain.. not cause it.

No big deal at all. I'm just glad you understood why we pulled your stuff. (Other people get very irked and assert that we're to blame for them not reading. *sigh*)

Thanks, I don't feel so bad now. I really love this site, the community is so friendly. This is my first time ever entering a contest so I'm kind of excited!
