Quick question...I posted an image to the main gallery that was quite bloody, but I believe it still met the pg-13 requirements of the site. I got an email saying the image was moved because I placed it in the wrong gallery and when I went to the site I noticed it was REmoved!
Is there something funky with the website or was my picture too violent? In which case it may be better to add a little more description to the posting regulations, as pg-13 is pretty vague and most MPAA representatives have trouble defining it.
Or did the site remove the picture in the guise that I needed to put it in another gallery...in which case which gallery does this type of material go?

I didn't see the image before it was moved (it was moved, not removed -- it was just moved to a part of the site only moderators can access, which is what we do with images that may be TOS violations). I would expect the problem is the dead body in the foreground, which appears to have had the top of his head blown off with brains oozing out. Can't recall the last PG-13 movie I saw that featured scenes like that _________________ Jim Harnock - ODS

I see your point, I'm just trying to nail down how much blood is TOO much blood. I never render anything nude, so nudity will never be a problem, but I'm trying to get my hands around how much violence is too much.
Don't get me wrong, I don't render bloodbaths everyday, I just want to know in case I do.
How about aliens? If that picture were of an alien and the blood were a green goo, would it still be bad for 13 year olds?
Is blood splatter, say on a wall or shirt okay? Is it the internal organs that classify it as gore, or just the amount of blood?
Any insight would be appreciated and don't worry, I won't be posting anything violent in the near future.

I think your best bet would be to ask the person who notified you of the removal, since it was their decision to remove the image. All I'm doing is speculating on their reasoning. _________________ Jim Harnock - ODS
