We’re looking for some scintillating animation clips. At this point, we’re looking to see what you can do with clips that could be used in a pilot entertainment project. There’s an opportunity to share in future revenues if this project comes to fruition.

We’re looking for 20-120 second clips or 1-20 second loops (no extreme violence please), up to 25 MB file size. If you’d like to show us a sample of your work, please write to me at diane@animotions.com and I will send you info on where to upload your animation.

You must hold copyright to the content of your animations. No licensed characters, please.

We'd like to have your examples within two weeks as the project needs samples soon (we know that's not a lot of time for anything new, but show us what you've got if you can’t do something new).

You can use any of the formats we currently support in the gallery. Please don’t use XviD. Animations can be created in any software program.

Show us what you can do!

I am currently working on a video project for an event called 'True Heroes'. It is a live Marvel event to highlight the new VS card game. Here is a sample of some of the video in AVI format. This is not done yet, but gives you an idea.

Thanks for any interest.

Tom

You can check True Heroes info out at http://www.truedungeon.com as I also do their website.

Tom,

Looks like a good start. We would need something that doesn't use licensed characters for this project (unless you can get the OK from Marvel).

I wanted to clarify what I mean by licensed characters.

I mean anything that belongs to a comic, movie or other company or person that would have a problem with you using their likeness. Any model you bought and paid for or that's a freebie with no commercial use restrictions is OK. Most of us know how fast Marvel would come down on you for using X-Men in a profit venture without their permission.

Yes, the event is run by Marvel/UpperDeckEntertainment and I am given free reign to use any character I want for use with the event. This being said, I'm not so sure what my uses are beyond the use of the event. I'll have to check on that.

The project we are embarking on is an experiment in making money from animations. We will be trying several ideas and looking for people like you that we can partner with to use current animations and to produce future works.

If we find a way to make money on this by partnering with some distribution channels, there could be sufficient money to make everyone's efforts worthwhile.

Although we currently have no restrictions on type of content and would like to see whatever represents your best work, our potential partners may wish to target specific types of content or specific styles. We cannot know this until we perform certain experiments with potential partners.

Also, we do understand the XviD is a very good compression technique, but it is not compatible with the toolsets and distribution methods we have been discussing with potential partners.

So, if you would like to make some recurring revenues on your animations, contact us so we can obtain your samples. We hope that this will become a fun and lucrative enterprise, but at this stage it is an experiment.

We hope you join us!
