"... I don't know how long he's been here in this city, but I saw him just the second night I moved here. He freaked me out so much!! I mean, yeah, I've always seen what almost no one else can see since I was a toddler... probably as soon as I opened my eyes for the first time, but my memory is not that good...
But there I was... taking pictures for my "spooky log" at 1:00 AM downtown, not even fearing being mugged 'cause I always carry my stun gun with me... when suddenly I felt this HUGE presence, like I had never felt before. I was sure it was not a parasite this time, they're never that powerful... they're mostly... disgusting... this was omnipotent!!
I looked around everywhere... nothing. Which was weird... 'cause there's always a crappy entity here and there... but they were all gone!! Like something scared them away... and as that thought filled my mind, I felt it passing through me...
Such... pain... such anger... I was so overwhelmed, it suddenly got so freakin' cold and everything around me turned blue!! It was like I was awake in one of my typical nightmares... but I still couldn't see it! Then it dawned on me.. "Above... look above you"... and sure enough, there he was! a freakin' GIANT GHOST!!! If I didn't have this picture, I still wouldn't believe it!!
He... he noticed me, like they all do... but he just went on his way as if that was nothing new... like they all do as well. How did this happen?? a GIANT ghost?? What does it mean?? There were giant people here before, is he an alien ghost, was he just a regular guy but his anger and pain were so huge his ghost turned out that massive??
I wish they could talk... all they've ever done is look curiously at me, and nothing else... and my picture log... just pictures of buildings, streets, bars and landscapes to everyone... no one can see all the freaky ghosts, parasites and "meddlers" in them... just me and a few of the others... I wonder if they've ever seen a giant before... I can't wait to show this enlargement to them!! They're all gonna freak out just like me!!
Mr. Giant hasn't shown up again in three weeks, but I don't care, I'll still be here at night when he comes back, and this time I'll make sure he notices me even more..."

First off, I like the texture on the skin and the perspective viewed from. The travails of the mind can be most interesting. Is it real, or just delusions? Can we ever really be sure?
Another well written piece. Short, yet laden with subtle inner anguish. _________________ I am a romantic, a seeker of beauty.

I like the fact that the phenomenon of seeing spirits is addressed almost matter-of-factly. It's quite true that most people can't see them in the modern world for some reason. It used to be quite common. But if you have had direct encounters with entities, you may be like me and find it strange that most people are blind in this area. How does the entire human popualtion lose their ability to see?

Quite simply put, from a very young age, society kept telling us that there is no such thing. That if you are seeing such aberrations, then there is something wrong with you. Only recently, as science has progressed, have there been tools able to record and measure such phenomenon. Perhaps in the future our eyes will again be opened. _________________ I am a romantic, a seeker of beauty.

What with the WMAP mission, and our now believing that 96% of the universe is invisible energy and matter, I'm personally hoping that, as we attempt to "see" this stuff, we will also stumble on a way to see spirits. But, don't expect the scientific establishment to release that information with any kind of joy. The huge drug and psychiatric establishment is totally based on the notion that people are meat and the brain is the source of the intellect. They are not going to allow you to find out that they have been feeding you a load of hooey all these years without a fierce fight.
What I find particularily intrigueing is all the involvement of Quantum physics in the discussions. This brings about the possibility of refining tools specifically designed for detecting and recording these various phenomenon. If you are truly interested you will check out these, and various others. The researchers are PhDs scientists in Physics, mathematics, and various other branches of science.
But, if on the other hand, you were merely out to get your jollies, then perhaps you will come back with another comment like the previous one.
Have a nice day. _________________ I am a romantic, a seeker of beauty.

The involvement of quantum physics is quite logical. Once you understand what the equations are saying, it becomes starkly clear that the universe cannot exist without conscious observation. No observer -> total chaos. The universe observed -> order.
Also, quantum physics and cosmology are converging. And on a cosmological scale - who crafted the Big Bang? And then - why?
I think Einstein had words to the effect that, the deeper you probe the universe, the clearer you see the hand of God. I think he also said that God does not play dice - meaning - there is no randomness to any of this. It was constructed.

This could be why, as the saying goes: "The more knowledge that is gained, the more esoteric the knowledge becomes." Or something to that effect.
Yes, it does seem deliberately constructed. And with the recent advances in Superstring Theory, it becomes even more so. _________________ I am a romantic, a seeker of beauty.

Those are interesting websites but there wasn't any ghost buster gear. The experiment where the subject's nervous system predicts a loud noise was interesting. And Lucid dreaming is always fun.
Strange that ghost stories exhibit drawers opening, chairs moving and doors slamming, but do ghosts ever lift a pen to write a letter or send an email? Maybe God doesn't play dice, but it does play jokes.
The Multi Energy Sensor Array ( MESA ) sounds really cool. I'd like a some kind of hand held tricorder to give a visual display of an entity's shape, trajectory and speed.
