i've been trying to figure out how to create the
"fins" that go on batman (m-3) and batgirl's (v-3) gloves...
i've seen some created by hasbrudal, but i was
looking more for spikey type items...
i would sincerely appreciate some guidance...
i've never worked with anima8or but i do have
it...
is modelling the only way to get the effect ?
thanks for your time,

I to am new to using anim8or but i have an idea on how you might go about making the fins try to draw a pic of what you would like save it as a jpeg and import it in as a background
use the line tool and draw an outline of one of the fins making sure that you end were you started. next go to the build tab and choose extrude i am not sure which way you want to extrude you can try them out to see which you like in the number places start with one and one in each box you can try other settings check the boxes that say cap ends and hit ok.
this should give you a solid model when you find the setting you like under build tab chose mirror. hope this helps

thanks for suggestions re: anim8tor. i've posted
an image to the gallery of my last batgirl model
without the fins on her gloves...the boots and mask were just modified texture maps. |

| Why not download the Vicky 2 Batgirl and use the glove fin props provided? |

Tis easier to modify existing meshes than create them new.... unless you're Has 8 )
I"ve redone a few figures mainly converting the textures from P3/P4 figures so I can use them on the bodysuits.
heh heh.. you should see my ComicProp library 8 )

The funny thing about the Bat glove fins is how I made them from the fin on Tiger Shark's head. They're really just grouping tooled bits of P-4 Dork's head stretched in Anim8or.
I recycle bits and pieces from old projects more often than doing new objects or textures from scatch. |
