Just thought I would announce that .. I picked up the marvel guide to th XMen and Spidey and I am finding out a lot of weird stuff that I had no clue was happening. Juggernaut is an XMan? Green Goblin (The original) is alive and kicking again? Aunt May is alive? So many other things that just confused me more LOL .. Anyway, just thought I would say that.

With Aunt May and Green Goblin I think they are referring to the Ultimate line. Just my opinion. And as for Juggernaut, for some reason last year they made him an X-men. But with the revamp they haven't said what team he is on as he still have a case pending in Canada. Go Figure, way to go Marvel.

It didn't seem it was the Ultimate line but it could have been. I don't really read the Spiderman stuff really but I know a little and I used to read XMen but that is jsut weird. Whole lot of weirdness including other stuff.

NuMarvel (as some have been calling the former 'House of Ideas') is a strange place. Aunt May, Mary Jane and Norman 'Green Goblin' Osborne have been "killed" and brought back.

Aunt May also knows Pete is Spider-Man.

Norman Osborne's Green Goblin serum revived him, and from his "death" up into the Spidey-Clone saga and the Heroes Reborn/Return, he'd been behind the scenes making Peter's life miserable (even kidnapping Pete and MJ baby from the hospital and having think the baby died!)

MJ was to kick the bucket (she was to have died in a plane crash), but THE MOVIE necesitated a return of her character.
Her dying was to open up new character interactions with Peter.

They can't fool me. Aunt May was really the Green Goblin all this time! Have you ever noticed how they both have the same narrow chin.

P.S.--If they ever stoop so low to use this idea for a story, I'll burn my collection, starting with Amazing Spiderman #17.

Yeah, the new Marvel is pretty confusing at times! Especially if your "old school" and have been reading stuff since waaay back! Everthing is very REAL WORLD (MTV-ish) now(IMO) I read the Xmen with Juggernaut joining up. Here's a villain who has done all kinds of damage and problems world-wide. Now he wants to be a hero! Xavier takes him in and is basically letting a known criminal take up residents at the institute. Hmmm... later in the story...SHE-HULK appears and represents him in court. Then finally she ends up hookin' up with old Juggy! Go figure!!!

You really need to just take the new Marvel way as sort of "WHAT IF" in my book....or do some type of mental disconnect with the past! Comics stories are now being re-written...to grab the attention of a whole new generation of readers.

The problem is that it just leaves me going "huh?" unless I jump on every craze and read every book and I am not going to do that.

It's why nowadays I stick to the Ultimate Titles. Great Writers, Decent art and good rehashes of plots all the old schoolers know and love.

Well those books and the Exiles, but I can't help myself, Blink is too cute to pass up.

I really don't know about the Ultimates .. I liked a couple of the books but it just seems like an excuse to have a big "What If" universe
