For those who haven't heard yet, the new Superman movie directed by Bryan Singer has finished the "big three" casting decisions. Brandon Routh will play Clark Kent/Superman, Kate Bosworth will play Lois Lane and Kevin Spacey will play Lex Luthor. _________________ Jim Harnock - ODS

I loved him as the guy who was from another planet who was stuck in the Psycho Ward! I wish I could remember the name of the movie! I'd go buy the DVD! |

Mizrael: K-PAX.
I dunno about Spacey as Luthor. I've never seen Spacey play any character that he DIDN'T make a bit effeminate and I can't see that working for Lex. Don't get me wrong, Spacey is a great actor -- I loved him i LA Confidentail, especially -- but I'm not sure he's Lex Luthor material. Personally, I would have cast Ed Harris. _________________ Jim Harnock - ODS

I dunno...Spacey may not be too bad, shave his head and he shouldn't do too bad of looking the part, now how evil he can be may be the question...
but enough about Spacey...how about Kate Bosworth
granted I loved Teri Hatcher as Lois in the series (but that's a whole 'nother story), but I haven't seen to much of Kate to know if she's even a good actress.... _________________ I can't help it I'm a smartass...it's the only thing that gets me through the day |

| I saw Ed Harris in "Enemy at the Gate" as the cold, calculating and emotionless German sniper. The part was well played. He would be a good Luthor, but he seems a little too cold. In his previous roles Harris comes across as being arrogant enough for Luthor, but lacking passionate anger towards his protagonist. |

Check him out in The Rock, a crappy movie where Harris gives a great villain performance, or The Right Stuff, where he plays John Glenn, back at the beginning of the Mercury program (and one of my favourite films of all time). _________________ Jim Harnock - ODS

| I forgot that was him in "Right Stuff". Too bad he couldn't have replaced Glen as our senator. |
