OK - Will all of you who are currently downloading Poser 6 from Curious Labs...PLEASE STOP!!!

Then maybe there will be enough bandwidth to allow me to download it before I fall asleep =).

Start of download - 0k, with an estimated 7.5 hour download...And this is on Ultra DSL connection - 5Mbps.

Now - 495Mb downloaded, with 2.5 hours left to complete.
You would think Curious LAbs would have been better prepared to handle this kind of hit on their site. They sent an email out to customers who pre-ordered telling them that they had purchasd extra bandwidth, and would be doing the downloads bit by bit - I guess they dont understand technology too well.

Well, y'know Sharb, the hamsters inside the Macs are running as hard as they can just to power the Etch-a-Sketch. Trying to download big files like P6 is asking too much.

Well if I remember right 'ol buddy Aremis said that he had the latest OSX update which should help it some in speed since Apple finally replaced the hamsters from OS8 with new squirrels, something about it making it more stable due to the longer tail or something....???

Actually we, use ferret's now...they have intense speed and power, so we can actually leave Windows behind in our dust =), like we always do =).

Your connection must be fairly fast with a 7.5 hour download time. It would have taken me 66 hours.

5Mbps is he fastest connection in Canada, and top 5 in North America. We rock!!! =)

yeah i work on a mac at work, OSX. . .uhm my PC is still faster and it is 2 years old.
