But at the same time, it says here:

The program both uses and outputs several different types of files.
The types of files that Poser's render engines output for commercial use include, still image .jpg, and movie files with an .avi or .mov file extension. You can do nearly any commercial use you like with the picture and movie files that Poser generates for you.
Next time you're in a Walmart Store look at the Poser video featured on the automatic self-checkout machines. That's obviously a commercial use.
Most of the user licence restrictions are related to commercial redistribution of figure mesh geometry, figure mesh morph geometry, texture mapping, or use of licensed characters. Geometry information is usually in an .obj format, but may also be encoded into .cr2, .crz, and some other file types.
It basically breaks down to this: You're allowed to make pictures and movies of Poser mesh geometry, but you're not allowed to sell the geometry itself.
If you want mesh files for game figures, either sculpt your own in a modeling program like Amapi, Shade, True-Space, or Cararra, or be prepared to pay Curious Labs, or the original artist who made the original mesh. If you did choose to use Poser figures in a game, you might discover the poly-count is too high for practical use. The higher poly-count is one of the biggest differences between art programs, and game programs. The whole idea isn't really too practical. If you're a novice to 3-D modelling programs, it's even less practical.

Actually it's an clever idea, although one should remember Leonardo Da Vinci had thousands of pages of notes on ingenious ideas he never finished.
The nasty part of transfering mesh geometry from one program from another is that you will often have to re-rig the joints and bones of the meshes. Other nasty things that sometimes happen include, screwing up the UV mapping and materials groupings, nasty little black polygons from reversed normals, and losing morphs.
They recently released a male and female figure as Open Source.
Those figures have been Rigged and mapped in Poser as well, also I belive with Open Source licences.
So you should be able to use the geometry from THOSE figures in your game, or even as a base for other figures.
Aside from those, I don't think you can use other Poser figures without first obtaining permision from the copyright holder. For example, Mike and Vicky of any generation would require licencing from DAZ3D. Jessi and James, would require permsion from Curious Labs.
If you're just looking to use rendered output, I'm unaware of any Poser Product that doesn't allow comercial use of the renders, but several freebies do not. Check the EULA of any product you use to be sure.
