You want Kirby Krackles Power Field?
You've got it. I'm not sure how this will translate to Paint Shop Pro or Corel Painter or earlier versions of Photshop without the brush options I'll list, but I'll outline the steps of how I made the Photoshop brush and you can proceed from there.
Start with a blank image, size does not really matter. You want a white background and black foreground as your colors.
I placed just three black dots in some close proximity to each other and in a random way. My brush looks like the capital letter L only turned somewhat clockwise and with the upper dot of the "L" a touch further than the two dots that would form the base.
Menu>Edit>Define Brush Preset and this will save the pattern, but now we need to make it dynamic brush. These are the settings I have for my brush as defined in the BRUSHES pallette:
Click Brush Tip Shape (it's a button) and set(leave) the following:
Flip X and Flip Y: Leave unchecked
Angle:0 degrees
Roundness: 100%
Spacing: CHECK and set at 25%
Under that on the left side menu:
CHECK Shape Dynamics and click there. Set the following:
Size Jitter: 41%
Control: Pen
Min Diameter: 14%
Angle Jitter: 25%
Control: Pen
Roundness Jitter: 0%
Control: OFF
Flip X Jitter: CHECK
Flip y Jitter: CHECK
CHECK Scattering and click there. Set the following:
Both Axes: CHECK and set at 25%
Control: OFF
Count: 1
Count Jitter: 11%
Control: OFF
All other left side menu options unchecked. Save the Preset as Kirby Krackle and enjoy!
