Hi everyone! First I want to say that this is one of my favorite sites! I joined not too long ago! I started adding pics to the "Beginner's Gallery", and it seems that there are no comments being added to my pics. Am I that bad? Is my work not worth mentioning?
Can everyone (who visits the Beginner's Gallery) please comment on my pics? I would greatly appreciate the comments, whether good or bad. I really feel like my "Racing To The Scene" and "Spidey And MJ" pics are the best ones that I have done, and maybe should be in the Main Gallery. But I won't know this for sure unless somebody comments on them.

Don't sweat not getting comments. I generally don't get many, either. I mostly post WIPs of freebies I've been working on. If the pic doesn't get comments, I just view it as a lack of interest, remove the pic and move on to something else. Don't worry too much about other people's opinions, it'll just drive you nuts, lol.
pssst...Go ahead and start posting to the Main Gallery, there tends to be more traffic there. You will have much better chances to get the comments you are looking for.

Vulcanis is correct.....you'll get more looks in the main gallery, as far as comments it's kind of a crap shoot, we all want comments but when we do get comments we don't always like or agree with what is said so don't take everything personal, remember it's all constructive critisism.
Now "getting" a comment is tough at times in my observation anything sci-fi or fantasy based will get fewer hits/comments than anything super hero based (go figure).
For me personally to post comments the work doesn't have to be great there just has to be something about it that moves me..lighting, texture, pose, something that shows you actually put some thought into it rather than loading a figure, applying a texture and hit render....

be of good cheer, fran! I see quite a few comments under the
one with superman vs. spiderman. I reckon you're appreciated here.
but might I suggest that if one takes pleasure in doing these,
then posting them is a means to share one's enjoyment of
the craft. if the others can manage a comment or two, all the
better, but I personally am satisfied if they view the image and
enjoy it - no obligation to verbalise it IMVHO.
If you are looking for constructive criticism, it helps to ask for it in your description, too. People have become shy about offering critique because some artists don't take it too kindly.
Nah.....I love my artwork, whether good or bad, I can critique my own work and I'm ok with that, but when someone else does and has a bad review, it kinda stings a liitle.
I think the biggest thing is people might not know how to critique the work or it could be the viewers are affraid their comments might come off as hurtfull or mean.
