First, I am attempting to make my first cartoon animation which; incidentally, will be only 30 seconds of animation. The program that I have bought to do this animation is Poser 5 (I hope that was not a mistake). It is specifically the cartoon rendering feature in which I am interested.

Is there a simple bowtie and hat (something like a police hat but without the badge and buttons) for the standard poser 5 guy--anywhere in the world?

The folks at e-frontier do not know of such props. Further, the DAZ "police pack" has a hat that matches what is needed (even though their hat's badge and buttons are not wanted), and DAZ also has a single (just one) bowtie. However, both of these two props are for the DAZ Michael 1 character. They do not work properly with the standard Poser 5 male figure.

Does anyone in the world know of a solution for this problem?

If I recall correctly, the DAZ items are just props, which means that with a little adjustment, you can use them on any figure.

As well, the badge and buttons on the hat can be made transaparent in Poser.
Please ensure you have fully studied the manual with Poser 5 before hand. This will usually answer 90% of your questions as well.
