I just downloaded the suit today and I'm having trouble adding in the Supergirl texturs. I put them in the files where I thought they needed to be but it's not working. Can anyone tell me the path for these files, or if there are instructions anywhere?

Which Supergirl freebe set are you trying to use? Many of the free texture sets don't come with a MAT file to automatically apply the textures. If there's no MAT, you have to go into the materials room and apply the textures manually. Some of the sets can be a bit tricky for new users to apply manually if they aren't familar with transparency mapping or node masking techniques.

There is a plus side to not having a MAT file, it doesn't matter where you put your textures. If you have a MAT file, carefully open it with Notepad and see what the proper address for the texture is.

Thanks for replying to my question.

It's the Supergirl outfit that's offered by Musketeer in the freebies section.

I don't see a mat file to open.

I did try putting the textures in once and it didn't work, so I don't understand what you mean when you say it doesn't matter where I put them.

OK, now that I've had a look at the Supergirl file, I can tell that Aremis (A.K.A Musketeer Graphics), probably intended that you apply your own textures manually without a MAT file. Any time you have a texture by itself without a MAT, or a cr2, or a prop file it won't matter a hill of beans where you put the texture map in your system.

Since the Word file documentation isn't readable on my system, I'm not certain if he intended for you to apply it directly to the Victoria 3 figure, or to his Battle Suit, but since they both have the same type of Unimesh mapping, the Supergirl texture should line up correctly on either figure. The only problem with applying the texture directly to the Victoria figure is that the neck and buttocks will be covered with white areas. A variety of skirt figures can cover the thighs, but you may need to add some flesh tone to the neck area on the map to match whatever Victoria head texture you're using.

If you're still feeling totally confused with how to manually apply a texture to Victoria 3, or the other Unimesh figures, allow me to suggest my RED GUARDIAN, and DAREDEVIL textures. Both of those sets have guides for manual texturing with big pictures to follow. You might also send a personal message to Aremis.

On a diffrent not a few of the textures are just overlays that you need to add to your own texture files that away you can use any base texture you want for the skin tones needed
