Why is DC so bent on messing with them. I was loving the last series, even more than the 80s version with the Great Darkness Saga, and now with Supergirl...............

DC STOP!!!

Mark Waid...I had high hopes but I'm still so so on the book. Anyway...I wanted to say that somewhere and here is the best place I know. Here's my favortie group of Legionaires:

Cosmic Boy(any incarnation but prefer current)
Lightning Lad (80s forgeting the whole Proty deal)
Sensor Girl (not snakey)
Shrinking Violet (Keith Giffen violent Vi)

Ultra Boy (Post Crisis attitude with current's explanation of powers)

Quitz (whatever his name was, he was cool)

I have to admit I have never been too much of a fan and I wouldn't know what was who or anything. I have a few issues here and there but for the most part I am relatively clueless.

The Legion has always seemed to me to have potential, but I came in late, and by then their publishing history already seemed spotty. Then L.E.G.I.O.N. was all so macho and of-its-time, and I just never bothered.

Read some pre-Crisis Giffen Legion recently and enjoyed it, so might try to get around to catching up.

I have to say, my favorite Legion was the Giffen era... including everything from the Great Darkness Saga to the post-disaster, old and crusty Legion. I've enjoyed pretty much every incarnation of the group... with the exception of the current one. I'm afraid I've finally gotten sick of DC deciding to completely restart the group every few years. But oh, well...

I have never really liked the Legion, I never saw the need to jump so far in the future, and I absolutely hated in JLU when Supergirl stayed in the future, she was the best character on the show, besides maybe Bats.
