Okay, here's an odd prop I'm hunting for.

I need some kind of document container, either a pouch or a cylinder or something obviously circa WWII that would be used to hold classified papers for transport. I thuoght I had something but turns out I was wrong.

Any ideas where I can find something, or failign that, can someone point me to a picture of an actual item from the period and I could attempt to build it? My research has been failing in that area as well.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean a cylinder like the ones still used today for things like blueprints or artwork? If so, Im sure you could make one with just prop cylinders and a strap from any bag available.

How authentic are you trying to be? Do you need a pouch for an allied or axis World War II period character?

If it doesn't need to be perfect, download my Batman belt with the pouches. You can copy a pouch with Poser's grouping tool and apply a texture to it, or color brown and adjust the scale size.

If you want a photo reference of a real Luftwaffe officer's leather map pouch, I can probably help.

Document pouch would be preferable, but I seem to recall seeing a brass canister container used for documents somewhere once (haven't been able to find a picture though, so I may have just imagined it) The latter would be easier to build, but I kinda like the pouch idea better as I think it's more period.
