Sorry if I've previously posted similar sentiments in another forum but I'm really, really new to all this.
I'm wondering just what the name "Animotions" relates to.
One would have suspected it was to animations or movement
I guess I'm utterly and completely wrong in which case I shall leave and continue my search for a Poser site that does.
There are so many sites like this that concentrate mostly on the "still" image and suchlike.
I'd love to participate in a animation site that goes into motion using Poser, the cloth room, the hair room and generally concerns itself with animation techniques. Also somewhwere that allows postings of gifs or suchlike.
Obviously this one doesn't..well it doesn't seem to..am I wrong ?
Is there a "animation/movement" site for Poser?
And not an "Adult" site either.
We have an animation gallery, and some members who do animations.
Unfortunately, we've never quite had a large enough segment of the membership who does animation to justify making that a main focus here, sorry.
The name "animotions" came about originally because we had a much larger focus at one time on manga and anime than we do curently. The focus shifted more heavily back to comics and gaming art after the site redesign, but there really wasn't any good reason to change the name and confuse people.
I'm afraid I can't help you on finding a poser site that's dedicated to animating with Poser or Daz Studio. When I dabble in animating - to the very small extent that I do - it's with Messiah Studio, so I really haven't spent that much time trying to find poser animation sites. _________________ "I'd add a legitimate comment here, but that would mean reading everything, which I have no patience for." - Slynky
I don't know how well a novice will understand it, but you might give it a try. There are other good tutorials on the same site.
There's much to learn about, posing, lighting, composition, using 2D art programs, texturing, transparency mapping, node masking, the grouping tool, post-work touch-ups, modeling in other programs, rigging your own characters, hiding reversed normals, and audio-video editing before you ever start animating.
(and how not to waste money on crap you don't need.)
We're often in grave peril of confusing new users.
The animation gallery here is worth a look, but there are other sites like www.youtube.com where you can search for and view Poser animation work.
