Ok, I think I'm caught up in all the reading here in forums and the one that stuck most to me was the name change. I never knew why the site did the name change until I read the below (yeah I've been here that long but lost my first username).
Then I read the one about updating the site (last reply over a year ago) and then I thought...well...
Animotions the name hints at (according to Ironbear, if I got this right) at Anime and Manga, but it has basically remained a superhero site.
Next point: Fan fic was one of the topics for the revamp and although I love doing Fan fic, one poster suggested our own unique story...
Hmmm now how do we do that and how do we get more people to come to Animotions without losing our super hero roots?
Well as shown in my Justice Lords post below when we work as a team we get a better product.
Well I suggest we use the world of 2040 as a combined story effort to bring more people and ideas here. First you have to check out 2040 over at Renderosity here's the link:
Just check out the 2040 post, ignore everything else.
Now using that as a basic backround and a whole world to explore you, can post your own part to 2040 at Renderosity but doing so in parts, one there and then one here. You'd be surprised at how many people who say that they ventured over to Renderotica to get other parts of my stories (and mind you I suck), the same could work here. Plus many of those who went to Renderotica for parts of my Red Brigade, or other stories stood there and frequent the site for more than nekkid pictures. The same could be done here but with a few of us, directing folks back here.
Now why 2040?
Simple since it's set in the near future you can go from hi tech to modern age
You have a whole world to explore and because of the Y virus your bad guys could literally be anthing.
The same with your main charecter, want to give him powers...blame it on the Y virus and give em' whatever power you choose.
The anime/manga feel is there without losing our superhero soul.
Anyway, it's a suggestion, of course we would need a topic thread to discuss with each other planned events that may affect us all, or just to hash out ideas.
since I can no longer post on Renderosity my friend Cruzin is doing so for me, hence the username before anyone ask.
Basically a shared world anthology? Ala... Wild Cards? [For example]

Pretty much. Anime and Manga fandom... when the siteware was redesigned and implemented, and we were trying to decide what forums to carry over, we discovered that the Anime and Manga forums [and the X-Box and other platform gaming forums] had almost ZERO posts. So we left those off - figuring that if after a year or so the existing membership wasn't posting there, there wasn't much interest here in them.
If you want to trace the evolution of this site, the progression went: 3D Comic Collective -> Graphic Resource Compound -> Animotions [Old] -> Animotions [Current].

that was the name 3d comic collective had the greatest Legion of Super Hero P4 charecters....I lost track during the second name change but was pointed back here when it became Animotions...
I was reading somewhere how comics may be in the end spiral because it's gearing to an older crowd and todays video game....you know what I'm gonna stop this here and make a new post.
