that would be because Elfwood sucks ASS. Honestly there are better gallery sites and frankly i get real tired of the "poor me" crap that Abrahms and his mods put on. . .as if they are the only people in the world who have other things to do. The turn around time on image acceptance is WAY to long, and if there is such an issue with lack of moderators then appoint more moderators. i had a horned fairey with sword slung over his shoulder turned down for the Lothlorien gallery because he was wearing jeans and doc martins. Well exscuse me if it was urban fantasy, but it was still FANTASY.
Too many artists have had images rejected because they either had a semi modern element in a fantastic setting or didnt quite fit in the Lothlorien or Zone 47 guidelines. One lady did an excellent drawing of a group of gypsies and one had a guitar, a 16th century guitar. . . now most people dont even know that they had guitars in the 16th century, but it was rejected for Lothlorien. C"MON!
the folks run elfwood are just WAY too stodgy and any two or three people here could get together and come up with a better free gallery a similar site.
Wait did i mention that i don't like Elfwood? AND BEFORE ANYONE JUMPS ON ME. . .this does not mean that i don't like Elfwood artists. i have several artists bookmarked so i cna regularly see if they have updated their gallery.
