Well I dunno about that no two are the same part, but right now I've got two wives and their driving me crazy!! I would have had three if one of them hadn't met with an unfortunate accident down in the Grey Manor's cellar! (honest I didn't do her in! She just "poof" distahpeered when I came back out!)

After that happened I was so ticked off I went back to town and stormed into the first open home, and began to flirt with the female there - her husband came in and started screaming all sorts of foolishness. He was messing up my game so I asked her to follow me back to the tavern where we could be alone. I bought her some drinks and got her drunk then laughed my butt off watching her flop around the bar drunk as a skunk! All was fun and games until I realized it was almost morning and hadn't gotten back to my OWN home and wife! (in that town mind you...) I raced back only to storm in the door and find the OTHER drunk woman had followed me back! (DOH!) My wife threatened to cut her like a fish and almost divorced me! I decided at that point it was best to "teleport" back to the guild while the teleporting was still good.....got there and went to the nearby town only to then accidently hit the "flirt" button (which was intended for a passing female) at a school kid! He curled up tighter than a fetus and screamed he didn't "feel right about me and that I was making him feel "strange"......two minutes later I was being chased out of town by the local sheriffs! Uggh...

I had thought about picking this up, looks like it would be pretty cool, but in some of the forums I've heard that the entire gameplay including the evil sidequests only takes you about 11-13 hours to complete

now granted this could take longer....especially if your in bars hitting on drunken wenches

I am thinking about it and it is one of those games that might make me buy the XBOX but I just need to save some cash :)

Well it was my birthday and I went ahead and bought the xbox and fable and it is fun so far. Haven't had any wives yet and I can't seem to figure out what to do after I flirt them up to a big heart. Think I am missing something but it is pretty fun.

Oh hey! Didn't check this in a while oops! Finally some gamers to chat up haha.

Say Ghost- TELL me you got Xbox live? We could So do the online gaming thing haha. (Can you just picture being in a bunker with PAN as your only back up?)

Ok here's the deal. The reason I liked this was cause it was supposed to be pretty open ended (beat it already). And so far it is that. But if you REALLLY want a long open ended game VERY much like this - think Morrowind: Game of the Year Edition. Now this game is cool. I've been playing it for two years on Xbox (and recently on PC) and I've yet to a)get into the actual main quest more than an inkling and b)see ALL of Morrowind and it's inhabitants / structures. Wild structures to explore. Caves, Castles, Dungeons, Arenas, town after town, this games to cool. And it's a mere $20-$30 bucks. But make sure you get the Game of the year edition. That one includes ALL of the first Morrowind - PLUS an additional area roughly the size of connectticut! Cool beans!

But I digress - Fable is way cool too. Here's how you get your wifes. (first off note that I raised my boy so angelically well-behaved that he literally now has butterflies floating around him and if I stand still for a moment - heavenly light shines down on me and my halo!) Ever play SIMS? It's very similar. You've gotta mix up your antics.

For instance - first hit the A button and talk to them. Then hit some sort of flirt. (like the "heeey" or "HAHA!" manly pose) then do a different one. NEVER do the same one twice in a row - not early on. Unless your character has enough renoun they'll just look at you cross eyed. Plus it helps if you don't have any horns or fire shooting outta your eyes...don't ask...let's just say my new game - I'm ONE hundred percent evil (different file save so I don't mess up my lil' angel in the original game) and when I walk ....the ground burns beneath me! LITERALLY.

Anyhoo-when the heart gets close to it's biggest point (or anytime in between) toss them some gifts too. Chocolate, Rubys, Perfume, etc. Those really boost your "like-ability" with them. When the highlight around them turns green and you hear that harp music sound, just simply talk to them with the A button and you'll hear them say something like "two words: Wedding Ring!" or "Would you be keen on marrying me?"....even "We could buy a house you know..." is good.

Now keep in mind several things.

Before you go about seeking a wife:

Dress up nice. Put on stuff that's attractive (Light Villagers clothing as opposed to "dark" clothing, etc.)

Pick up LOTS of gifts. Nothing worse than chatting up some honey - only to run outta gifts at the key point where it could go either way and she just goes "meh" and her heart goes back down to "0". Wasting YOUR time and HERS. Also don't give the same gift twice in a row.

Get a Wedding Ring. Please don't be cheap. They get wise to "fake ones" which results in you losing out on $700 to purchase it when they reject you.

BUY A HOUSE! Don't go expecting to have a marriage until you can provide a home. Safe yourself the trouble have a house waiting for your new bride and you won't have to make her fall in love with you again because you had to go away for two years and left her alone in a pub so you could save up to get her a house.

Marital Union: Same as the making them fall in love bit. Take her home (make her follow you if she's not there) then romance her to death. She'll yawn and say she's sleepy, then just simply talk to her and you'll be asked if you wanna go to "bed" with her. Lots of giggling and sexual humor later - your wife will be alot happier and everytime you return to town from afar she'll more likely than not greet you with a REALLY nice expensive gift (usually weapons). If you ain't getting weapons or gifts - you isn't working your duties. Note: I get gifts all the time hehehe.

Note: no limits to wifes. So far. I've got a wife in just about every town! Heck I even married the major in one (female mind you) and got her whole mansion. It was tricky getting her to the bedroom though but it's possible.

I've had alot of fun with it though. Still figuring a few things out that I never got figured out (puzzles and such) as I try to max my "good" character out.

As for the Bad version of my character - I'm doing all the things I could never do with the good one. I told on the guy who was cheating on his wife - then beat up the man and the hussy! I bopped the kid who told me to smash barrels - he had a big head. I went into a tavern, got smashed, then stood in the middle of the tavern and used my "force push" power (sorta like Darth Vader's Jedi powers) to basically blast everyone in a circular radius around me clear out of the tavern! One dude went flying out the door. All of the windows in the tavern shattered. And two guards that came running in flew across a table. I then went about destroying half the town and then buying up the property as it became available. Sigh...

Nope. Didn't get XBOX Live . Ethernet is at the other end of the house and I don't feel like running 100 feet of cord. Plan on possibly gtting Morrowind as well. I am pretty much middle of the road still. Just finished the arena and am almost pure neutral .. Bah LOL Just after I did that though I think I got someoe to say wedding ring I think (had the sound way down so my girlfriend could sleep). I still haven't really figured out how to get drunk either LOL I drank once and it did stuff a little bit but then the stats say I didn't ever take a drink. I must not have saved. Anyway, have stuff to do. Later

LOL. You got "teetoller" or something like that there right? I think there's a glitch in the "stats" menu. I've done a few things in the past and it just plan acted as if I hadn't. I'm surprised you've managed to finish the Arena and still remain neutral!

Question: At the end of the Arena (did you..um...you know...do it!?) I didn't do a particular thing. Was making my hero 100 percent good. So I wonder what happens if I got greedy??

BTW - getting drunk makes the screen get all fuzzy and puke like. You can throw up too. I threw up on some guys table as he was trying to get me to gamble. I was so embarrassed that I just reduced the whole town to ashes so no one could spread the news. I also lead the old woman that lives at Rose Cottage out into the woods (after she fell in love with me and wanted to marry me - shiver!) before I murdered her as a sacrifice in front of the Demon door that requested a vile evil act. It didn't open...drats.

I think I manage to stay neutral by helping as much as I hurt LOL .. Yes I did do it and someone doesn't like you after that but that is about it.

I did the drunk thing with my current character. Pure evil and I found out you could become obese if you ate 50 pies, 50 meat and 50 beers one right after the other. It really didn't change much but I was tired of being "slim" What I really want is a big muscular character but I haven't gotten the strength etc up there yet. Even after the 50 beers I am a teetotaler (sp)

When you say obese, does he LOOK obese!? I've been meaning to get into that one door that wants a fatty to come through it, but I didn't want to lose my physique with the ladies haha. I was afraid I'd be slow in battle too. My character has mastered ALL of the strengths (you'll need to do that in order to do something in the game) and he's kinda beefy looking. I rarely take off his shirt though. Only one time when I was trying to help this guy...he lasted for a LONG time traveling with me...then this one time we finished fighting and he was about to clap and whoop it up in celebration. I noticed a balverine in the distance and took out my bow and arrow to dispense of it. I pulled back and just as I let'er rip - dude stepped in my sights and was like "WOOHOO! THAAAAT'S MA MAAAN!!" and Ppffffitt! THUNK! He got the arrow right in the chest instead of the balverine! He fell to the ground going "Whhyy....arrggh..ack!"

I was so ticked off I removed my shirt, let out a battle cry and went into battle bearing my tattoos while completely shirtless. The earth drank much blood that day....

Nope .. He does look like he has some more padding around the middle but it isn't what I would call obese. Not even the technical 30 pounds overweight. I would say it was more like 15 pounds or maybe 20. It doesn't seem to do anything and after a bit you become average and then slim again.

Hmph...some fable this is turning out to be. Oh well...at least it's kinda cool to just bully people. Sigh...btw beware of the old man by the water and his daughter. He never got my "good" character but he sure suckered my "evil" character. Again - the earth shall have to drink much blood for his blasphemies!

I am still having fun with it. Haven't finished the second go round with my evil guy yet. I find it kind of sad I can't really seem to get anyone interested in dating a guy with horrns, bad skin and glowing red eyes .. oh well ... More killing I guess :) Not sure which guy by the water you mean but there are always peopel to watch. I still need to get the strength and stuff up so I can have a huge hulking figure.

Oh about the looks thing - my guy is so evil in my evil game that he has horns, glowing red eyes, fire as he walks on the ground and general ugliness of the face. One day I got his whole face tattoo'd with that balvirine hunter tat...you know covers the whole face and makes them look like a vampire or wolf? Shortly after I walked into town (still very much evil) and women all had mostly full hearts for me!!

Something about that tattoo (I think great heros wear it and that's why) makes them go gaga! I actually had two girls fall in love with me but I didn't have a ring so...

I haven't been able to find a tattoo guy for a while but I will look for him ... Need to go walk the highways and byways and kill some innocents anyway.
