The old P-4 version works in P-6, if you have the tunic and cape figures installed already. Decoding the .pcf object file for Stacy's tunic does throw some people off. You need the Objaction Mover utility program for decoding.
You can also barrow the props from the P-4 version if you have a tunic figure for Mike 3, Apollo Maximus. or James. There's also a nice piece of neck armour in the Valkyrie character download.
If you like dynamic cloth, Phil C may still have the Romantix Cloak and hood for free. Check Phil's site.
The Stacy tunic for P-4 is still free. The tunics for the other figures can all be purchased if available.
If you're trying to make a Doom figure like the lame loser in the movie, you're on your own. The movie version is the Diet Coke of evil. (ONE CALORIE NOT EVIL ENOUGH.)

Since you're a newbee, it's good to start out with the Poser 4 (Dork) figures since you're not as likely to have purchased many of the custom high-res figures and clothing yet. There are not many free super-hero clothing items for the Poser 5, and Poser 6 default figures. The later default Poser figures have never been as popular for comics characters.
If you hadn't looked in the Animotions Free section, we have the following:
1)Hasdrubal's Dr. Doom file for the Poser 4 man figure.
2)A variety of capes including my poseable Superman cape
3) Charles Stacy's conforming Tunic Figure for the Poser 4 man.
Stacy's free tunic is a highly useful P-4 clothing item, but it's .obj geometry file needs decoding before use. (It's an inconvience for only the first time you use the tunic.)
4)Objaction Mover is a free Utility Program for decoding the geometry.
Another alternative worth looking into is Phil's free Romantix Cape and hood. You must understand how to use the Cloth Room in Poser 5 or Poser 6 to use it properly.
As you download free items it is wise to check what type of Poser figure the item is for. Check to see if it's for Poser 4 man, Posette, Maya Doll, Michael 1-2, Victoria 1-2, Michael 3, Victoria 3, Nadya, Dina, Vina, Don, Judy, James, Jessie, Apollo, Freak, Stephanie 2, Stephanie 3, David, or the other figures I can't remember. Sometimes people don't label things very well. Also keep track of which freebees are for commercial or non-commercial use.
