Is anyone else playing COH? I've playing with it and find it quite enjoyable (In a nod to Garth Ennis I'm playing The Defenestrator on the Champions server)
Last night i got with a really great "supergroup" and gained five levels in a sitting. It's been a long time since a game grabbed me like that. I also gained the ability to hover, just seven more levels till I can fly!!

I haven't played it, but I've heard some good things and some bad things. Is there a demo out? I was at the website and couldn't find it.

I played the beta for a while and actually liked it, the best part for me was actually creating the character....haven't played it since the official release...I'm a cheap s.o.b. :)

What are the PC requirements for the game? Need a good graphics card ect?
My only PC I have access to is an Office Laptop. The thing has juice, but if it needs anything in ways of a graphics card, Im shoot out of luck...Unless they release a Macintosh version, wh9ich will look ever better =)

The requirements are probably listed in the manual you can download. I didn't check, though -- the manual is a 79MB PDF.

Whats sad is...as a Macintosh user who loves comics, but isnt big into games (I tend to only buy Wrestling games for the PS2 and Xbox consoles, and seldom buy PC games for the machine), may just go out and buy a PC on Friday.
A local store has small towers (And I do mean small), going for 300$ Canadian.
256MB Ram, 60GB HD, CD, Floppy, 56K Moem, 10/100Base-T, but no graphics upgrade, although a colleague offered me his 8600 to buy as well.

So I may just crack and buy it for gaming only...and porn of course.

Well JUeff, one thing to keep in mind (and the prime reason I won't be buying City of Heroes) is that it is an online-only game. You can't play it offline, which means you not only have to shell out $50 USD for the game, but you also have to pay a monthly membership fee to play it.

Forget it...If its online ONLY, then theres no way I would get into it. Im not that huge of a gamer, and to me would play from time to time, but would want to kill time soimetimes playing alone.

So that idea is out the window.
Thanks Jim. Muchos Gracias.

Yeah, I'd thought the same thing: $50 for the game, then $15 a month to play. Plus, most online games like it are really for people who have a lot of spare time, which I don't. As a periodic user, I doubt I'd get as much out of it as a regular user. It's a shame because I've been tracking development of the game for a few years now and was really excited about it. Oh well, guess I have to wait for a Freedom Force expansion or something.
