I was at the local shop the other day to pick up that new cheap World's Best Comics archive sampler (great buy, I recommend it -- fun read and only 99 cents US/$1.50 CDN). While there I came across the collected edition of the Waid/Kitson miniseries called EMPIRE. On a whim, I bought it and damn if that's not the best comic I've read in ages! Anyone else check it out yet?

Oh HELL Yes Orca, I got the Empire TPB just a couple of weeks ago and have already read the damn thing more times than I can count.

It has to be some of the best stories and most detailed characters I've seen in a long time come from a comic book, but then again, it's the Waid, what else do we expect?

Definitely two thumbs up on this!

I just hope they do a sequel -- lots of unresolved subplots there.

So the TPB is the extant of the story? Okay I do have a complaint then, I WANT MORE!

So I definitely second your idea Orca.

I've only read a preview of this story, didn't get anything out of it. However, the preview was in ShockRockets, which I bought recently, and damn, that's a good comic!

IMP.
