Star Trek Movie Era Uniforms Help

I thought this would be the place to post my cry for help...

Im working on some crew pics for another persons website and he's set his fiction on the Ent-B I've tried to model the uniforms myself but have had poor results (skill level lacking )

the programs i'm using are Poser5 and 3DS MAX5

I'm using M3 and V3 as the bases for the characters

the two main problems are:

1. the shoulder strap for the rank pins

2 the turtle neck

I've tried using the M3 Tunic as a base (if someone could tell me how to post a pic I'll do so/or check it out at renderosity http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2659967)

If anyone knows if the tunic has ever been made or if they have tips i would be most greatfull
