A new Avatar WIP character, natch. ;]
I think the bad attitude comes from him being based on Michael, and he can't find any pants that fit. Or shirts, or... _________________ "I'd add a legitimate comment here, but that would mean reading everything, which I have no patience for." - Slynky

Thanks Opt. ;]
When I get to the point of starting to translate my pages of scripting into graphics and layouts and panels, he's going to be one of the main characters.
At least until the bad guys decide to take him out of the picture and that starts the real storyline by....
But that would be telling. ;] _________________ "I'd add a legitimate comment here, but that would mean reading everything, which I have no patience for." - Slynky

Thanks again....
Hopefully unique. He [and the female version] are Cherokee totemic avatars: Guardians - a greater totemic being manifested through a human spirit carrier, a special kind of shaman. In this case, a lynx spirit.
Here's a bit closer detail view of the face patterns. This test render was done beofre I finalised the hair texture.
Now that I have a lot of the other elements I've been assembling, I'm going to start working a bit more full time on on getting character designs out of the "rough concept sketch" stage and into 3D figure. So... expect to see more WIP's and finished character renders posted here as I progress. _________________ "I'd add a legitimate comment here, but that would mean reading everything, which I have no patience for." - Slynky

Fantastic!
I really like the way the texture accentuates the muscles.

[snip!]
What has big hair, claws, and an attitude?
[/snip!]
Wolverine after a day in a Graceland beauty salon? No?
Just kidding... PRIMO character, dude. And Jje is right on, I love how the texture doesn't cover up the musculature at all, just brings it out that much more!
And I'm sure we *all* love to see WIP's. (Or at least, I hope so, or at least two of my topics are null and void!) ^_^ _________________ "It is perfectly easy to be original by violating the laws of decency and the canons of good taste."

Kewl... glad you said that: I'm working on the female version now. WIP's coming... ;]
Thanks. Showing the musculature was a goal, since it's suppoed to be short sleek fur, not a suit. But I can't paint fur, so I used the PS fur filtering... it works though, and it's fast, which will be a plus when I'm trying to desin panels and scenes.
Glad ya'll like him. _________________ "I'd add a legitimate comment here, but that would mean reading everything, which I have no patience for." - Slynky
