If this were to happen a few questions to be considered:
1) Would you create a character based on their name or their description, allowing it to be up to broad interpretation, or would there be a set piece that would have to be either interpreted or DLed and used in a scene? If the victim in question doesn't have a Superheroic identity, do we get to make them one from scratch?
2) Would it be limited to one character, or could you maybe choose from three characters (allowing for three entries and a little variety as well)
3) How would said characters be chosen? Poll, volunteering, random draw? (let's say I'm a little too new here and a little too protective to allow GG to be "volunteered" juuuuuuuuuuuuuuust yet.)
Just curious. While I'm looking forward to the next one, I'm nibbling my nails to nubs waiting for the results on this one.

| there need be no prizes involved, just do it for S&G's sort of thing unless some of the "locals" who have things vor sale want to donate a couple of small inexpensive items. |

Ladies, gentlemen and regular customers, I too like the idea of a poll to turn one of the Animotions members into a superhero/ine. In fact, I think we should have one of each. I nominate Aremis and Glitchgirl.

On the Freedom Force forums, we would regularly have "Skinning Challenges" with much this same concept. However, here's how we worked it:
Everyone entering got their name (and any data they wanted to include) in a "hat". When the entries were closed, everyone involved got sent someone else's name from the pool.
Ergo, if GG entered, as did Aramis and wandrinminstrl, then GG might get Minstrel's name, Aramis might get GG, and minstrel might get Aramis... |

oooo i like that maybe we should set that up in one of the forums and then not worry about bothering the mods with setting it up as any kind of contest.
Unless the mods so decree . . . . .
It has flavors of an MOC (monthly original character) sort of thing. This promises to be pretty damned entertaining.

Day 16....
Rain. The waiting continues for word from the elusive "judges", with no indications of when they will complete their task. Morale is stable for the time being. Am considering checking for life signs in said judges with the classic Erwin method, IE: poking them with a sharp stick and getting the hell away as fast as possible.

more like we were kicking around the idea of people putting their names into a "hat" and everyone gets someone else (like a secret santa thing) i dont think anyone has has decided yay or nay on public or personal interpretation or whether the people putting their names in also put in some abilities, traits, powers etc etc etc.
i was thinking maybe a few ref photos and let the interpretation go from there. |
