Hey pan,
I wouldn't worry about people being shocked about upgrading the characters. Especially if you do a character page like Ariah81 did. Sort of a "now playing the part of."
Besides so many different artist work on overlapping projects on the print side that characters are never really the same.
By the way love the new site. I used to have to download your archives and make the PDF's myself for offline reading so I love the new archive format. Thanks. _________________ www.jamica.org

Hey japes,
Thanks for the kind words! I'm still surprised every now and then when someone comments about actually READING my comic LOL. Sometimes I just wonder if all the hits are just "me" checking to see if my "world" is still there...
I've got some ideas on how I want to introduce the new models. I had planned this for a while, even figured a way to work it into the story real "slick" like haha...but decided that would make the story much longer and harder to follow (as if it isn't already!)
I've decided on a way I think will work well, so I've just gotta see how that goes with some betas...
BTW - checked out your comic. Looks like your having some fun over there too Keep us updated on the next release! Personally I like stuff about Vampire / Werewolf hunters! (Did I ever mention I was working on a video game I had designed along those concepts? Kewl beans! Never saw the light due to money issues and total lack of qualified staff - but to this day no video games could have held a candle light to it! It was pretty advanced) |

Thanks for looking. I have the first issue completely done I just need to upload it. I have the scripts for the next 4 done but takes awhile to do the production. The next issues move quite a bit faster.
First Issues are always kind of slow and this is my first "poser comic" so this series is a test series as you could probably tell with the format change.
BTW I know what you mean about being surprised when someone tells you they read you comic. _________________ www.jamica.org

wow, I had been away from animotions for several months now, but I'm glad I had a little time just to check this forum.
I'm realy impressed by your work on Federation 21, truly a precursor... and you were an inspiration for my own inspiration: Ariah81! she's my sensei in all things online comics, so to see her having been inspired by your works back in the day makes you like the "grandaddy" of my own inspirations, heh heh ... and well, i also had a tragedy in my personal life which kept me away from everything for a while... but actually, making comics kind of put me back on track...
I still have a long way to go, but comics was my first true passion in life (later on came music), so of course I find a kin soul in everyone making their own comics.
I'd invite you to check my own work on comics in my gallery, but "Makela" is so far away from what I'm doing now, that it would be misleading, because I've addressed a lot of the problems found on Issue 1... when issue 2 is ready, I'd ask you to check it out... it would be an honor to get any sort of feedback from you.
keep up the good work! _________________ **************

First off let me just state: Thank you!
You don't even have to introduce yourself haha, I've already been to your site on numerous occassions. Your comic is one I've always found cool. (What I liked about it was the vibrant colors and the way you poke fun at your own stuff with the lil' hand comments like: "dude needs to shovel his driveway!")
Your comic has a really cool flair. Actually all of the comics we've seen in this thread have their own flair and I think that's awesome. It may be true that some of us were the pioneering "Granddaddy's", but you "youngsters" have taken it to the new level haha.
I was trying to find your comics link again but now your splash page only links to samples of it. Is there a different page for your comic altogether?
Thanks for all the kind words, maybe someone will come by and go - "Hey! You wanna be in Computer Arts Magazine??" haha...until then I'm no Hatcheck Kelly (who is in this months magazine on the CD LOL). Congrats JJE!!! She looks awesome on the CD! You've managed to raise the bar again and get us all some extra notice!
Hopefully my next issue will be able to get closer to my visions of what I see this world I call Federation-21 as...
(which reminds me...JJE is gonna kick my butt! I'm taking WAY to long on his camera...ack! Gotta go post over in the other thread!) |

You don't!?
Ok the latest issue of Computer Arts has several panels/pages of your comic ( the first issues) in their CD! I believe it's the 102 issue (which contains the Freak Bundle fix - shame shame!)
Have you ever submitted images to Amapi? It gave me the impression they are showing your works as examples of Amapi use. Did you render in it back in the day?
I was flipping through the CD, looking for the fix to install (and ensure it worked) and was like "eh? I recognize that art...lemmie click on this thumbnail...egads it's HCK!! KEWL! (followed by some jealousy, weeping, gnashing of teeth, self-smacking, looking in the mirror and saying "you are somebody! You are you are!", running around my apt. in my official Federation-21 underoos while opening all the windows to allow fresh air in briefly to replace the stale moldy air that has accumulated due to my NOT opening the windows since I was robbed, various words I wouldn't utter in my mother's presence, and monstrous gobbling of these evil little candies I shall only refer to as "those sour kids" of the rotten teeth kingdom. Oh yes and one mildly self-amusing and self-esteem improving attempted prank phone call to the local deli to inquire if their "fridge was still running" to which they informed me it had indeed stopped running and were very grateful much to my complete and utter annoyance)
Their giving away an issue of Amapi and it's apparently in the folder with it and it's "gallery" images I believe so that may be the reason it's there. (you know probably one of those "you upload to our gallery but we have world wide permission to make gobs of cash off giving you the right to show your work here" deals...)
If it's all legit (despite you not knowing) it sure would make for some nice "self-promotions" right about now - hint hint hint! |

Ok Eovia has bunches.
They have been supporting HCK since she was a pup.
Actually Stager was but he's gone a'Dogwaffling.
Gallery? As in rendered in Amapi? One is kidding isn't one?
Oy! I don't need this today!
I'm flopping around the office just like you now. Didn't think about opening the windows. I'll have to try.
The only other dif is HCK jammies have feetsies.
Something is clearly going on with the lay lines under Boston. The walls may start oozing slime.
Well... we are preparing another "Marketing Mailing that is Doomed to Fail" for this Friday.
Get me re-write! Olsen ! OLSEN!
Puffery? I'll show you puffery! |

LOL...feetsies? I got ripped! GET them on the phone!!
Gee...that's really awesome you're getting supported by them (well not literally but you know what I mean)!
I've been thinking about that alot lately and have decided I'm gonna "fish" around and see what happens in regards to stuff like that. (Well not there mind you - them's your territory haha I won't go stomping my tail feathers around there)
I'll double check the CD tonight and show you what's on there. Hmm? Do I have YOUR permission to display what I see on there? Is that even valid now that they PUT it on a CD? |
