Yeah well how many seasons can they squeeze out with the no flight no costume premise? Clark eventually become's Superman and let's face it, these actors are getting long in the tooth to be playing young Clark & Young Lana! Face it, Tom Welling is pushing the high side of his 20's already in real life. A Young Clark he is not.

Call me old fashioned...but what ever happened to enjoying something for the sake of just being entertained?
I know we'd all love to see the flight and the suit...But they did a Superboy show once...and it bombed...And besides...The moment they have him fly...next will come the suit...next comes SERIES FINALE!
What happens after that?
We go back to 3 dozen variations of Survivor Island's Big Race for American Idol's Mole!

So as far as I am concerned, I am still entertained by Smallville, with the Freak of the Week and all...People bought into 90210, and half the cast were pushing 30 by the tie it ended...Why cant we buy into Clark for another 3 more seasons, and just enjoy?

My 2c worth.....Canadian currency only though.

A-Men Aremis.

TV sucks badly enough with out talking one of the few shows left I actually watch of the air.

What do we have? 2 Stargates, Smallville, Enterprise, is Tru Calling still on?, Dead Zone and Dead Like if you still have Showtime. (I don't. :( )

There a kiss goodbye coming from Farscape, Galactica. Possibly 4400 on USA.

Then there's stuff like Andromeda and Mutant X, which while fully sucking... still seem Ok compared to the rest of the unscripted shit the TV executives whipe their ass with and then try to rub in our faces.

Last night I tried to watch TV and ended up watching GILMORE GIRLS!!! How pathetic is that?

(At least the mom is hot.)

Heh...I agree fully.
4400 is just coming to us, via KTLA, this fall. Thought it was new, guess it isnt.
But its true...I have satellite here, and I spend more time watcing movies, or specialty shows, Like Dead Like Me, which I love, but the only weekly sow I stick to witout ever missing happens to be Smallville. When we lose it, we will lose a great and fun show.

4400 is newish. It's only 6 episodes now. There was rumor of it being picked up for a full run, but I haven't heard any confirmations.

It's totally worth watching. I don't know if you liked Dark Angel, but one of the Exec Prods was a producer for that show, and Exec Prod for Season 2. (That was my all time favorite show. I still write Fan Fict for it. STOP LAUGHING AT ME!) ;)

I agree with you two nutjobs -- compared to most everything else out there, Smallville is like a life jacket on the sinking ship of quality scifi/fantasy. When it's gone, we'll realise how much we needed it. In fact, unless you count Futurama reruns, Smallville is the only scifi/fantasy show I still watch.

I'm still waiting for CSI: Coast City or Law & Order: Gotham SCU.

Well sorry to hear they wont let him fly, in my opinion that means to me they have very little imagination. Unfortunately Smallville, Stargate and Stargate Atlantis are the only shows I try to watch each week besides Fear Factor. It would be nice to see atleast 1 good show on a day if possible. Well thats my 2 cents in American ( my spit is worth more!) Thanks for the heads up about Smallville ODS.

Nut jobs/ NUT JOBS??!!!!! Well, I never....Denied it! lol.

Its true..>Smallville is the only Si-Fi I still watch.
Simpsons...Futurerama...Family Guy keep me entertained regularely...Regulra watching of SCREAM television keeps me sane...But what else is out there realy? there was some show they were promoting on the WB big time...the name eludes me...But it was all taking part on a deserted island...and it got cancelled before it even got started...But there's nothing on TV...
I love Law & Order...the orignal series...but now its always the same...CSI...never lucked into it.
Vegas was entertaining, and worth seeing some of those hotties...but they keep moving it around time slots.

Arggggg----Bring back radio already!!!

I wasn't trying to take the fun out of your television viewing by any means and for what it's worth, the Superboy TV Series that was on for THREE YEARS was a Saturday Morning TV show and I taped every episode. Started out with John Haymes Newton (Or something like that) and ended up with another actor finishing the series in the last season something Gerard. I'd have to dig out the tapes to find his name. It didn't "Bomb" as you put it, it just had a short 3 season run. That's pretty good for a Saturday morning TV show.

Amen, japes.

Now, seriously, has anyone else noticed that the sex content of this show has skyrocketed this season? It doesn't bother me in the least, but it's been pretty pronounced.

Also, does anyone know what the point of the Jason Teagues character is? He never does anything other than look all sympathetic during Lana's breakdowns.

Ok found the name and funny. We had George Reeves & Christopher Reeves as Superman and Gerard Christopher was the last superboy in that TV series I mentioned.

As for the hooties on Smallville, You should hear the talk on some other boards I've been on about the "Homoerotic" scenes between Clark and Lex. Makes me wanna slap somebody!

Sorry to say gang, but even though it was while "under the influence of his evil Kyptonian father" he flew this season. The producers are going to have to come to grips with the fact they bought into a well known peice of Americana and they had better not push it too far - Remember the flak DC took for killing superman and then the fiasco with changing the costum?

There are some things that you don't screw with and a guy who can toss tanks around like ping pong balls is real close to the top og the list.

My wife every 28 days is slightly above that for the "DANGER DANGER!" sign to go off. ;)

Until last night, I had never seen the first four episodes of Smallville (a friend loaned me the 1st season set) and I have to say I got a real laugh out of the first scene with Lionel Luthor. He's reading a newspaper on which the headline is "Queen Industries CEO Missing, Presumed Dead."
