I submitted a contest entry yesterday and it is not showing up. I didn't get an error and my settings are open for all art. am I missing something or should I re-submit? The name of the scene is Order Of The Universe under my name (koonak) Thanks for your help!

Diane,
Is it permissable to include a link to a larger version in the description text for entries?
I know the rules say that the work can't be posted anywhere else, but I'd like to provide a link to a full resolution version on my site that people could look at if they were so inclined. The 1024x768 version I uploaded doesn't really look as good as I would like.
Or are the contest entries judged more on concept than they are on detail? This is my first contest entry in 15 some odd years of modeling and rendering stuff, and I'm kinda new to the whole contest thing. =)

Mara,
First off, let me say welcome to the whole contest thing! (Welcome to the site, too.) Hopefully you enjoyed creating something for the theme.
As for your image, please post the image that you think is your best work on THIS site. If it's a 1024 x 768 image, so be it (although I think that's probably the biggest we should accomodate). If you must create a bigger image, then I would advise you to re-evaluate the scope and size of your work and tweak it to get it to the 1024 x 768 size.
This is a minor point (and I might be misinterpreting your post), but please remove the image from your Web site for the duration of the contest. Also, was this an image created especially for the contest? Or has the image been on your site for a while? (Remember that the rules say it must be created for the contest; posting something that you've had on your site for eons doesn't work.)

Nope, I haven't posted anything on my site yet.
The image was created especially for the contest. I don't usually think about entering them, but in this case when I saw the announcement in the email newsletter, an idea for it immediately came to mind, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I currently have it entered at 1024x768, and it looks ok. I was just curious if it would be allowable to link to the larger version for anyone who might be interested in seeing it at the original size.
